A Face For Europe?

Tumblr, we're having a Eurovision party with facepainting, and so far Clement has the Cornish Flag* and Megan has the Welsh flag**. (Famous Eurovision competing countries both of them.)

*It is the most terrifying thing that I have ever seen.

Erm, kind of light brown, black tail with my back left paw being white. Kind of beige spots on my face. IDK, do cats work like that? I'm not a cat person.

I'm torn between Clio (history) and Calliope (epic poetry) but I think I'd have to go for Calliope.

If you could replace any character in a book with yourself, who would it be?

Ooh, that's a tough one. Because there are lots books that I'd like to live in that universe, but not many that I'd want to actually replace a character. (Most books I read have a lot of death...) Perhaps the Marquis de Carabas from Neverwhere?

What are three of your favourite sounds?

Rain on canvas, cracking the spine on a fresh book (yes, I'm one of those people who believe that books should be well loved) & steel-on-steel of a fencing bout.

If you could play or sing one song perfectly, what would it be?

... I want to learn Careless Whisper on BBN2 just so that I can play the famous sexy saxophone piece.

Silver Birch, we've got one at the end of our garden.

What was the first book/film/song/poem to make you cry?

I know this was probably intended just to answer one but I went for all of them...

Book: When Hitler Stole The Pink Rabbit. (I was never able to finish it, it made me cry so hard.)

Film: ... honestly the first film I can remember making my cry was actually War Horse, I mean, there probably were others...

Song: Empty Chairs At Empty Tables. (I used to crawl under my bed and listen to it when I needed to cry when I was little, my emotional dependency on Les Mis started early!)

Poem: I can't actually think of a poem that made me cry independently to the situation that I was in. (Klaxon: yes, I'm talking about funerals.)

If you could be a flawless scientist or a flawless artist, which would you be?

Scientist. I don't believe that art can be flawless.

Do you have any framed photographs?

I've got a picture of me and one of my closest friends from school that's framed, but not up. A picture of me and Kally that's kind of framed (in cardboard) and one of me and Chris from when we were kids.

I'm tenacious, and in the end I'm always okay.

POSITIVES: At least this year I won't have to go and sleep on thatwingedhost's floor because my housemates are having a massive party the night before my final exam.
