One Dark Throne
So I finished One Dark Throne last night, and oh my I can't even put my feelings unto words.
If you haven't read it I advise not to read on as there will be spoilers.
Katherine's newfound attitude honestly was really surprising in a way. I mean it's because of the dead queens but still it still hurts and feels like Betrayal. Also am I the only one who thinks that her attitude will be different in the next book? I mean not like in the first book, she's done too much, and saw too much to be that sweet innocent little girl again. As that little girl is gone, I mean all the queens aren't the same girl they started as. But I feel as if she'll not feel so much that it's her duty to be so cruel anymore, and maybe the dead queens will let her go. I also feel as if accidentally killing Nicolas will change her, that the guilt will change her. I may just be too hopeful as Katherine is one of my favorites but I guess will just have to see.
Also am I the only one who saw Natalia's death coming? It seems quite common to kill off a main character's, definitely one is seemingly one step ahead of the others, protective character. So in all honestly I was expecting the death of either Natalia, Luca, or Jules. But just because that was in the back of my mind, it doesn't mean I was prepared. I honestly was affected by her death way worse than have been.
Joseph's death and Jules leaving Arsinoe honestly shattered my already broken heart. It was just so near our hearts. That our one ship that we were so sure of, sunk like the Titanic. No one ever though it would, and when it did it made the whole world grieve.
Also can I just point out Mirabella truely crying over Arsinoe's death when she though she was dead. I just can't not love that.
On a happy note, I'm so glad that Mirabella and Arsinoe are now on the mainland and getting to live.
