Mikoto blinked then bit her lip to try and keep from laughing. She patted Naruto’s back to help him from choking. “Careful now, Naruto.” Luckily he didn’t choke, at least not much. Noodles were dangerous.

“No, I was looking for you, actually. I’m checking in on you,” she explained as she took a seat beside the blond. It was her job to, even though in the beginning it was very difficult to. Now she had all the freedom to see him.

“How are things? Aside from good now that you’ve eaten?”

“H-hey, Shino! I’ve got a question.” Naruto paused and looked around, making sure no one else was to hear this question. It was kind of weird, but it’s something that’s been bugging him. No pun intended. “So, your bugs. They, uh… just… come out of you, right? And if that’s the case, they… come out of everywhere? Even your..” Come on, Naruto. Just ask him! “Even your, um..” He groaned in frustration. “You know! Your—“ then he tapped his own rear, hoping Shino understood.

"Naruto. I'm listening." Shino turned to face the Uzumaki, silently happy that Naruto would find an interest in him enough to ask questions. Then came the question, it took some time but Shino patiently waited for it to be properly formulated... It never was, but when Naruto hit his rear, he understood and frowned.

"No." Shino replied, almost offended that the idea would even cross someone's mind. "My insects do not come out of my anus. Why? Because it's part of an internal organ which if pierced, would cause health issues. My insects only come out of my skin."

Dark eyes scanned every inch of Naruto's face, as though waiting for some mask to crack, for the words to be rendered nothing but some misguided joke --- just to be kept waiting. To see nothing more but sincerity behind those blue eyes, prompting tension to slowly seep from his being in small increments.

He glanced away as he felt his expression soften considerably, exhaling a silent calming breath; mentally attempting to reseal the cracks in his exterior that managed to tip off to Naruto that something might of been wrong. It wouldn't do, being so transparent.

... Especially following the full moon that had shone bright in the night sky the previous evening; prompting yet another restless night of unwanted memories that he tried his hardest to keep a bay. To ... varying results. The slight bags under his eyes could probably attest.

" ... I'm fine, loser." Sasuke ducked his head slightly, hands shoved into his pockets as he started forward, pushing past Naruto as he continued forward; quickening his pace. He couldn't afford to let himself to be subjected to such questions as 'Are you okay?'. Not now.

Not when the answer was a resounding 'no'.

Does he need anything? Shino thinks about it for a moment and comes up with nothing.

"I do not." Is that how he built his reputation? That whenever he comes to see someone, it's because he needs something? ... It's not entirely wrong, he's been doing that a lot, he supposes... But it doesn't mean it should always be this way, he needs to better his social skills and make friends. It's difficult.

"I don't have a reason to be seeing you right now." Shino monotonously admits, "Is it weird?"

     Hinata's soft voice gently piped up. She was still trying to get used to working with him and Shino as a team. Both of her teammates were rather . . . eccentric in their own ways. Not that there was anything particularly wrong about it, but it was a learning curve. Due to his clan, Shino was very passionate about bugs and it was evident that any discomfort she had with them she would quickly need to get over. Kiba, on the other hand, was - well louder than the two of them. He's passionate about Akamaru and genuinely seems like a good person. However, just like any team, there was a need to get to know one another. It's only been five months and that really wasn't a lot of time for such young kids to get to know one another. 

    Sure, they may have spent five years in a classroom together, but the young Hyuuga had always been rather content to be out of the way.
