& caden.
last she’d looked down at her wrist watch, it marked 11:37pm, and not much time had passed since then. the wooden bench at the park was cold, and maebh sat facing outwards, a cup of warm coffee sitting next to her on the bench. she tapped her foot impatiently and anxiously, waiting for the sign she needed. and just like that, she saw the TWO GUYS leave the pub north of the park, right across the street from it. ever so good at spying, mae took binoculars and brought them to her face, hoping the bushes and tree between her and the men (about 65 feet from her) would suffice in hiding her nightly shenanigans. she watched as the two walked from the pub, laughing, probably wasted, and crossed the street towards the cigar store that was just about to close up. just as maebh was getting herself to lower the binoculars and go after the pair, she noticed a figure near her. “── AH!” she jumped, clearly startled. “you scared the shit out of me. fuck, holy crap.” the vampire muttured, looking up at the dark haired woman in front of her as she tried to get her breathing back to normal. “jeez, caden. wew, okay. i’m good,” mae told herself and sighed, “okay. hi. what’s up?” maebh wasn’t even attempting not to look suspicious. she knew the werecat had seen her, and she knew caden was not the type to pry, so why bother pretending? she’d deal with those two another night. // @thcroux
