I often think about post-finale Beast Atsushi bedridden with a fever and totally out of his mind. He can't have a sensible conversation with anyone and he's crying constantly and it's up to whoever is taking care of him to make sure he stays calm long enough to rest 💔 Akutagawa's presence is helpful if even only for the fact that he's so monotone and composed most of the time that it's not stressful for Atsushi for him to be around despite everything, and Akutagawa has gotten so used to taking care of children from his time in the slums and taking care of Oda's kids that it's a walk in the park for him to look after Atsushi when he's like this. He just talks to him, even if he's not making any sense, makes sure he's comfortable and feels safe 😭

waaaaaaaauuugh :(((( big big fan of stress induced fevers ohhh thats my favorite.... after everything he just completely crashes :( akutagawa being as soft as he can with him which he's never experienced before when he's in any sort of distress :( him not knowing where he is and having to be constantly reminded that he's not in danger :( oh look what you've done to me.
