Two years ago this team won the World Cup and my life is forever changed. Watching the players on the team and seeing confidence gave me the courage to come out as gay. Watching their determination gave me drive and focus as I push myself harder than ever at every training. Since that day I have sprained a different ligament in each knee and I have been on crutches for seemingly endless amounts of time. I have had the highest highs and the lowest lows but seeing the 15ers win made me realize my true confidence and love for the sport. So thank you to the 15ers.
