It is amazing how often the reason you can't find a convincing explanation for something is because your conclusion is wrong.

I’ve seen this book recommended from a number of different sources, and so far I’m really enjoying it. Everything is really well explained and there’s visual aids for almost everything.
7/11/15: Contiguous vs. Linked Data Structures
I found The Algorithm Design Manual, Second Edition by Skiena today and read section 3.1 which detailed the advantages of contiguous and linked data structures, i.e. arrays and linked lists. This was a pretty nice review on both of them, and I especially appreciate that it’s a much more digestable read than Cormen’s Intro to Algorithms.
