I've been asked to give a presentation on the backlash that queer people are facing and I'm working on the slides and for my little queer heart it's... a lot.... and so I'm counterbalancing the horrors by listening to Tom Cardy... and it's fucking helping so much that I'm jamming in my seat while building the slide on minority stress and processing how I'm gonna justify the slide with the definition of fascism because we gotta talk about that shit to understand the backlash in it's political context and if we don't we can't see how predictable the horrors are which makes it harder to fight 'em. Like... you gotta admit what the problem is if you gonna fight it effectively... But I'm fucking dancing to the transcendental cha-cha at the same time... because what else can you do when you listen to that shit?

So... yeah... I recommend Tom Cardy if you want a little joy to make the horrors more manageable...
