Correct me if I’m wrong but didn’t the guy playing ez and Danny play the same character in the burning plain (just the younger and older version)?

You’re not wrong, anon. JD played the younger version of Danny, who was in one scene iirc. And their counterparts were young Jennifer Lawrence and Charlize Theron. Good casting. Too bad I can’t really remember what the movie was about.
