Something about both Joyce and Will destroying their homes and sitting there in despair until Lonnie and Mike show up.

For Joyce, this is the point where she stops feeling Will. No lights and music going off while Lonnie is there. For Will, this is when he feels the mind flayer's return. They both feel alone and they return to the people who haven't been treating them right.

There's a nice continuity with Billy and Max being the 'victims' who see things in seasons 3 and 4, because looking back that victim for season 1 was 100% Joyce. Which flows neatly into season 2 with Will who is also left feeling fragile and crazy.
