Half my calculus students will be gone on Monday, so I'm trying to find something to do with the ones who will be there. The previous teacher suggested an early-90s video on integration...
...and it took all of 2 minutes to determine that I will not, in fact, be showing this to my students. Highlights:
Newton would have been totally 'normal' if it weren't for lack of a male role model (I mean, this is really an argument for single-mother households if I ever heard one, but anyway)
Did you know that I've been calling my class by the wrong name all year? Apparently I teach "the calculus." As in, "Newton discovered the calculus." Leibniz also did work on "the calculus"
"forte" is apparently pronounced "fort"
Oh gods the wigs. THE WIGS. I realize 17th-century hairdos were a bit ridic anyway, but early-90s versions of 17th-century hairdos? SEND HELP NOW.
...and yet, I'm not allowed to leave school for another 30 minutes. Guess I'll have to watch the rest of it...
