After some more thought, I'm debating bringing back Phosphora to be the protector of the Iwi tribe in headcanon, for a couple of reasons. First of all, Mothra already has an established role, be it QotM or Life Bringer, and restricting her to just the Iwi tribe seems a bit odd. Secondly, the Iwi tribe's thing of being silent and eye contact being polite makes me think of owls. Owls are very quiet, they stare at you, and having an owl kaiju would be really nice.

Don't have a final design in mind, but I'd probably keep the four-winged aspect. Maybe white feathers, to keep in line with the visions Jia was having? And finally, owls are fluffy, and Jia deserves fluffy Titan hugs.

Ability-wise, I'm also not too sure about. Maybe something like Mothra's God Rays. The name Phosphora seems to imply something to do with light, so probably leaning in that direction.

Welp, now that we know what Phosphera would've looked like, I think altering her design to be more owl-like sounds interesting. Owls in mythology tend to be a mixed bag, since depending on the culture they can be anything from omens of death, being lucky or unlucky, associated with wisdom, or wealth. Maybe a redesign could tie into these varied beliefs where she's benevolent but has kind of a creepy ghostly look to her, or is elegantly beautiful but sounds like a feckin' banshee.

That aside, I think owls are beautiful and cute, and we could use more big fluffy Titans in the MonsterVerse!

We’ll see if I ever end up writing it, but I guarantee wrestling does happen between Maddie and literally any of the mini-Titans. You ever see someone wrestle a dog, and the dog is just wiggling up a storm? That’s roughly what it would look like, lol.

Doug would definitely be more like a pet than the Titans, but I could definitely see some shenanigans happening between them all.

Lol, he’s escalated to violence. I don’t think any of us are really surprised.

Godzilla, aka Mr. I-Need-To-Be-The-Favorite-Dad-Or-I’ll-Kill-My-Competition, would be more like, “No, I’m going to give her a very cool weapon,” and Mothra’s shaking her head in the corner over these morons. Maddie’d be all pleased, like, “I get two weapons?”

Now Mark is the one who’d be having a heart attack and yelling about why is anyone giving his daughter sharp things.

This implies that Kevin gets to be in charge of their new body, and honestly, that sounds hilarious. Gosh, the panic everyone would feel when he’s spotted, alive and whole again. Poor Godzilla, thinking he’s going to have to deal with him again, while still mourning the death of Mothra. Monarch realizing that Ghidorah is looking for something, and coming to the conclusion that he’s hunting Maddie down. Maddie’s nightmares coming back, and Mark terrified for his daughter’s life.

Oof, the angst would be strong in this story.

I have more than one story planned where something along those lines happens. ;)

Regarding the previous ask - There was a line in one of the novelizations about Titans being able to "ramp up" beyond expected maximums to react to threats. Kong might have grown much faster than the average for the great apes due to being left alone in such a dangerous environment, making him look older than he should be.

Just saw GxK, and in all honesty, my first thoughts upon leaving the theatre were something to the extent of asking myself how I was supposed to integrate it with what I've already written for The Golden Demise.

Overall, I liked it, and it's great to finally have some solid confirmation about some of my theories. It was great seeing Tiamat, even if I'm distinctly displeased with how they relegated her to a momentary obstacle after setting up her strength in the comics to be on or above Godzilla's level. I'm also happy to see Mothra's return, and have *ideas* about how to fit her history with the Iwi into the established canon. And the existence of the Tribe itself, and the antigravity technology? Hehehe.

Finally, two questions: Does the Abraxasverse Mū have a Hollow Earth portal? We've seen the Warbats and that serpent/eel thing Kong fought, so there's precedent for anguiform creatures down there. But did Manda ever go back and forth?

Secondly, what was the Thunderers' relationship with the great apes? They're similar enough in structure that I could see one of the Thunderers using tools, but was there ever anything specific?

I might need a second viewing to really consider GxK's place in the AbraxasVerse, but for now!

I'm gonna say right now, Scylla and Tiamat can live in AbraxasVerse. Scylla creeps me out and she was fucking around, but that Hubristic Tech Bro in the prequel comic The Hunted started it, and Abraxas Tia doesn't need to deal with the Worf Effect.

I'm going to say yes, Mū did have a Hollow Earth vortex. Now that we know the Great Apes and also the Iwi civilization are in hitherto unexplored areas of the Hollow Earth, this gives me the thought that the Hollow Earth may be even bigger than we think. There could be entire oceans down there with all sorts of aquatic beasties and fauna that can make even the most alien of real life deep sea fish seem like goldfish. It's entirely possible that Manda's species could have explored these unknown regions of the Hollow Earth, or even act as emissaries or messengers between worlds when the need arose.

Hell, why not go the extra mile? What if Mū's people aren't extinct but were evacuated to the Hollow Earth by a member of Manda's species, like his mother, and their descendants have adapted to life down there with all the cultural and technological and physical evolutions that entails?

The Thunderers once could have had a peaceful alliance with the Great Apes, and thanks to their penchant for stone armor could have had some connection to Iwi culture. But Skar King could have played a hand in decimating or enslaving the Thunderer population, forcing many like Thor to move for comparatively safer passages on the surface world... at least until Ghidorah showed up.

I love the banshee-sounding Phosphera idea - it adds nuance to the Iwi tribe's silence. When things are quiet, all is well, but when the goddess screeches you know things are going to shit. The telepathy is used for day-to-day stuff, while vocalizations are reserved for the Important Things.

Truly, the screech of an owl is an omen most foul...
