Dasha Nekrasova
Can't stop crying thinking about Nemo's Unexplainable performance. I love them so much. Going on stage, opening up your soul to millions of people, singing a song about the fear of never being understood by the world you live in, showing so so much vulnerability and strength while knowing that that's exactly what's gonna happen. Knowing that you'll be shredded to pieces because no one is gonna get what you're doing, what you're saying, how you're looking.
Someone asked them if they thought they would've won this year, given the current state of *gestures vaguely to everything*. They answered saying that the real question was if they would've written a song like The Code, or dared to go to Eurovision with it. They said Unexplainable is the song they would've written instead.
Being trans right now is extremely scary. Seeing them in such a huge stage singing about people like us means the world.
I’m so sorry
The fact that Eurovision has been won by two consecutive operatic songs is something quite unbelievable.
The Dread Pirate Barb: Keeper Of The Code…
[Cap’n Barb]: First Mate Allie… You stand accused of high crimes and misdemeanors on the high seas…
[1st Mate Allie]: What’d I do Captain…???
[Cap’n Barb]: You took the last cup of coffee… and didn’t refill the machine in the Crew Break Room… AGAIN…
[1st Mate Allie]: That’s not so bad… (shrugs) It’s not like a flogging offense… Right…?
[Cap’n Barb]: It violates the Pirate Code Luv… It’s your Third Strike… So you know what that means..
[1st Mate Allie]: Oh no…
[HR Karen]: Seriously Allie… Coffee Violation…?
[1st Mate Allie]: IT’S NOT MY FAULT…!!!
[HR Karen]: It seems it never is… according to your Employee Record…[1st Mate Allie]: (sighs) Is this going to be like the 4 Hour Sexual Harassment Training I had to do last month…?
[HR Karen]: It was your Third Strike Allie… So unfortunately you have to retake Pirate Orientation…
[1st Mate Allie]: (gasps) TWO DAYS…?!?!
[HR Karen]: Welcome to Hell… (laughs maniacally)
