K technically not super new i had these characters in mind for abit but they didnt have names until very recently soo it counts
Dr.Ivan
Ivan is a scientist from zone 3 who assisted in the creation and production of sugar and now spends his days trying to solve the issue of Elsens being weak and unable to defend themselves...by committing inhumane and horrific experiments that usually go nowhere and dont serve much of a purpose.
These experiments usally end in the death of the subjects mostly by burning but in some cases the experiments end in developing new burnts
The Congregate
A burnt comprised of several past subjects this beast is one of the few experiments that is stable enough for Ivan to make use out of. It's very strong and obedient but it can be unpredictable and quite animalistic at times, especially when it's hungry. But most of the time it is docile and can be quite friendly, but it'll probably never be seen outside of the Lab

Ivan and his fuckass dog hcs ( isit even a hc if i made them)
Ivan sleeps with his eyes open, he also doesn't sleep too often so its common for him to doze off in the middle of things
Ivan is one of the people to help assist with the creation of sugar and still provides some assistance when making new stronger types of sugar
He also despises sugar and does not make it a habit to eat it often, only ever having some on certain rare occasions
His lab is funded by Enoch thanks to his contributions to sugar productions, he will sometimes work with Enoch personally when requested but most times Enoch doesn't pay any mind to his work
Speaking of which, Ivan keeps his experiments and testing a complete secret from the outside, anything about burnts and horrible mutations is never known to the public
He has had lab assistants before..keyword had, it only takes one mistake or an elsen snooping around where they shouldnt be for them to be "laid off"
Ivan's attempts to strengthen elsens have all been met with failure, the experiments all end in the subjects gruesome death or mutating into a new type of burnt. Some he tries to experiment more on these mutants but most end up dying after burning.
Ivan almost never leaves his lab, only ever leaving when he's practically forced out it by Enoch or to look for more subjects. Enoch likes to invite him to special gatherings and events in an attempt to get him to socialize, he seems to pity the guy.
He rarely ever cuts his hair thinking its a waste of time for him to put hours of attention to it so he just lets it grow out and wash it occasionally, his self care routine is non existent.

The Congregate
It is a special kind of burnt, similarly to the critic burnt it is one of a kind. It was made up of multiple different elsen dna, body parts, brains, burnt and not burnt hosts with one main host. It doesn't seem to share any similarities with it's hosts but it is very unpredictable at times.
It has a huge appetite, very food motivated and can easily be made docile if given meat. Ivan uses this to his own advantage but he struggles to make a believable excuse as to why he requests for 3x the amount of meat rations to Enoch
It's simultaneously intelligent and very stupid, it can still speak and understand most things and is an exceptional hunter but it definitely has it's moments.
Ivan pretty much uses it as a security dog making sure nothing escapes and nobody tries to break in, it also helps when lab assistants go into restricted areas.
When an experiment dies Ivan tries to recyle whatever he can but most of the unsalvageables become the Congregate's dinner
They do try to look after Ivan as best as it can, assisting him whenever it can,bringing him food when he forgets to eat, take him to bed when he dozes off at a workbench. Ivan doesn't show it but he does somewhat appreciate it, except for when it tries to sleep in his bed next to him, its way too big.
Unusually obedient towards Ivan, compared to other burnts it never tries to attack or harm Ivan unless it's really hungry, it also keeps the other experiments in check making sure they dont act out of line.
The Congregate can open it's jaws impossibly wide, which it uses to eat whole bodies efficiently if not messily, it never had a clean meal.
It enjoys chin scratches and having its neck rubbed, just mind the teeth.
Has never been outside the lab and possibly will never see the light of day, not that it cares all that much. To it all it ever knew was the lab.
