Okay this may be nothing but I looked at the pictures of all the other consuls except Valerius, you know, the ones with the red beetle? And it just struck me that like,, they remind me a lot of the 4 horsemen of the apocalypse? Both in appearance and mannerisms?? Also, I believe that the red beetle pin is actually a scarab because it looks more like it and a scarab symbolizes like, messengers of fate and destiny and the color might symbolize the red plague. Again this might be nothing but I just wanted to put my idea out there.
