Another WIP from the past

Started this project in 1986; last worked on it in 1998. Discovered in a bag of yarn while I was cleaning out my closet a couple weeks ago. While the pattern sheet was still with it, there wasn't any floss so I'll have to buy reasonable substitutes. Fortunately all that's left to do (other than cleaning/blocking) is some backstitching (reeds) and a decorative border, so I don't have to try matching any of the colors in the main stitching.

Pattern is Wilderness Moose from The Creative Circle.

Hugh Leader-Williams.

Last week The Creative Circle was hired by Loughborough Uni to produce a short video and a few photos for one of their recent graduates Hugh Leader-Williams. 

Hugh is a multi award winning designer. His work is really simplistic and I thought it was pretty cool.

I finished the first draft of his video and I decided to give it a "Day In the Life" kinda feel (a bit like Jr Dot's video from back in the day). It follows Hugh building one of his signature lamp designs.  In all honesty, the whole story element happened pretty much by mistake as half way through editing I realised if I changed the order of a clips I could make it work. Then again, that's pretty much how a lot of my creative work comes about :S The video should be out later this week, so as always: Watch this space!

We Made History!

My team, myself and one of our companies “The Creative Circle" have been crowned the Loughborough Uni Think Big Champions.

As we won Enterprise Award earlier this year, we are now the first company to ever do this!

And I can now call myself a multi-award winning entrepreneur ;)

I haven’t been told the exact numbers but I know out of 15 contestants 4000 votes were cast & over 1000 were for us! So in other words, I’m really grateful for all your support.

New big projects are on the way, so make sure you’re watching this space!

My company, The Creative Circle has made it to the final round of Loughborough Uni's Think Big Business Competition. Which means that we have the opportunity to be the first company to win both the Think Big Competition and the Enterprise Award in the same year.

My boy Ali Foroughi just forwarded me the photos from last weeks' Enterprise Awards ceremony (My company The Creative Circle was hired to cover the night). This was my first ever acception speech & I completely unprepared! 

But let give a massive shout out to my business partner Bola Awoniyi who wasn't able to make it on the night. 

I had fun on the night and made some great contact, but next time I'll be ready for speech :)
