These last days of my fast seem to have become a food-free fast, trying to squeeze in organising my lunch for work has been difficult.
There are multiple places to eat at my workplace but catering to a Daniel Fast is not their prime function, so to avoid more failure I’ve tried to minimise the amount I’m eating.
This is not very healthy, but hopefully today is the only day that I’m restricted. Having more time at home to prepare food is not easy, but if I am not getting public transport I can get a whole hour to prepare myself, but if not… I am looking at 10mins.
I plan that the next Daniel Fast will have more planning with the food side of things, but reading my daily devotions have been an easy inclusion to my day. I actually enjoy that part of my day and I feel the tug of the spirit as my time approaches to read the devotional.
Prayer has become like a conversation with God, throughout my day I can find myself speaking to God. I always found speaking to God easy, it’s more including others. I get so nervous praying around other people, even those close to me.
Day 18 Devotional Scripture:
When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am? And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets. And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. (Matthew 16:13, 14, 16 KJV)
