Ok so im gonna let you in on something I’ve been enjoying recently.
There’s a radio segment, The Debaters, that has some episodes online as a podcast. It’s basically just 2 different comedians arguing with each other every week while the host makes bad puns and dad jokes.
Some of the topics are funny, like robot sex or a raccoon as the mayor, and some are serious, like divorce or whether punching-down in comedy is okay. But it’s all light-hearted and full of jokes, making points with humour.
The comedians are diverse. The jokes are funny. It’s Canadian content. There are a lot of weird sentences that you would never hear in any other situation, like “honeycomb fascism,” making it quite meme-able.
There was the episode where a third comedian walked in halfway through to take another stance, the episode where the comedians were arguing about actually legitimately getting married to each other after the show, the time a guy brought out his dog, or the time a guy brought out his heavy metal group.
Anyway, check it out. It makes me laugh.
