Documentary Three of Four: The Devil We Know

I had a wild night last night, watching all these documentaries 😂

The Devil We Know was a pretty short doc about a pretty toxic chemical involved in the making of Teflon (and Scotchguard, and other similar items).

The most interesting fact was that absolutely everyone in the world has been “infected”, at least a little bit, with this chemical. The company went around looking for “clean” blood and couldn’t find any, anywhere in the world, because the stuff is so prevalent in daily use (and industrial use). They had to go back to archived blood from... the Korean War? To get a clean sample.

Anyways, it’s called C8, and was banned. Of course, Teflon replaced it with an equally toxic chemical called GenX. 🙄
