Lucifer looked up when the door opened, standing as the Detective walked out, closing the door behind her. She seemed surprised to see Lucifer, tilting her head to the side.
“You waited.”
Lucifer nodded as he came to a stop in front of her, looking down at her.
“Of course I did. I’ll always wait for you.”
She slightly made a face, mulling it over before she nodded.
“Right.”
She jumped slightly when her phone went off, reaching into her pocket and checking her phone.
“Come on, we have a case.”
Lucifer followed the Detective to the crime scene, already seeing Ella talking to one of the M.E’s.
“Ella.”
Ella jumped slightly as she turned, making a face as she looked between the two.
“Detective Raelynn, I didn’t know you were working this case.”
Raelynn made a face, tilting her head to the side.
“Why wouldn’t I be working this case?”
“Because-”
Lucifer looked around, tensing when he saw him, causing him to step closer to the Detective.
“Detective.”
She turned, shooting Lucifer a look over her shoulder.
“Lucifer what-”
“Rae-rae.”
She tensed, looking over at where Marcus stood, walking towards them, a grin on his face.
“Looks like we’re working this case together. Just like old times.”
She shook her head, taking a step back, causing her to crash into Lucifer’s chest, Lucifer grabbing her side to stabilize her. He leaned down, speaking low enough for only her to hear.
“Are you alright?”
She took a deep breath, nodding slowly.
“So, since I was here first, I’ll take point.”
Raelynn nodded, taking a few deep breaths.
“Sure, whatever you want.”
Lucifer tightened his hold on her, clenching his jaw as he glared at Marcus, watching as he nodded, a smug grin on his face.
“Good. Then you and your partner-”
Marcus shot a glare at Lucifer, nodding slightly.
“Can start canvassing for witnesses and take their statement.”
Raelynn nodded, turning, Lucifer’s hand dropping to his side as she walked off. Lucifer looked over at Marcus, glaring at him.
“Nice to see you again, Michael.”
Marcus glared at him, huffing.
“It’s Marcus.”
Lucifer grinned as he turned, nodding.
“Sure thing, Michael.”
Lucifer laughed to himself as he heard Marcus complaining to Ella, and a glance over his shoulder showed Ella rolling her eyes when Marcus wasn’t looking at her, mocking him. Lucifer turned back around, looking for the Detective. He started to grow worried when he couldn’t find her.
“Detective?”
He walked around, looking for any sign of the Detective.
“Detective!”
“Lucifer.”
He stopped walking, turning and looking around, hoping to see the Detective.
“Over here.”
He made a face as he turned, walking around the corner of the house, seeing a figure leaning against the shed. He walked towards them, breathing a sigh of relief when he saw it was the Detective.
“Detective.”
She took a deep breath as she looked up at him, Lucifer clenching his jaw as he went to walk off, stopping when she grabbed his hand, causing him to turn back towards her.
“Detective?”
“Don’t go. Please?”
Lucifer nodded, moving to stand in front of her as she leaned back against the wall of the shed, blocking her from any prying eyes. She still held his hand, and Lucifer turned his hand in hers, their fingers slotting together as he ran his thumb over her knuckles, slightly leaning down.
“I’ll stay. For however long you want me to.”

Raelynn wiped her tears as she ran after Lucifer, calling his name. Lucifer ignored her as he walked up to Marcus, tapping him on the shoulder. When Marcus turned, Raelynn gasped as Lucifer punched him in the face. Marcus fell to the floor, holding his nose, his eyes wide as he looked up at Lucifer.
“Are you insane?! You can’t hit a detective!”
Lucifer scoffed, reaching down and grabbing Marcus by the front of his shirt, lifting him up in the air.
“You’ll stay away from the Detective, Michael.”
Lucifer jumped when someone touched his arm, tensing as he turned, slightly relaxing as he looked down at Raelynn.
“Lucifer, let him go.”
Lucifer released Marcus, Marcus falling to the floor, a few officers coming to help him up as Raelynn reached for Lucifer’s hand, looking up at Lucifer.
“You’re bleeding.”
Lucifer made a face, looking down at his hand, his eyes widening slightly.
“Yes, it appears that I am.”
Raelynn tugged on Lucifer's hand, turning.
“Come on.”
Lucifer followed behind her, glaring at his hand as she grabbed a first aid kit, leading him into the room from earlier.
“Sit down.”
Lucifer sat down, watching as Raelynn opened the kit, shaking her head.
“You shouldn’t have done that.”
“He upset you.”
Raelynn started to clean the blood from his hand, sighing.
“He’s a detective, Lucifer. He could press charges, or worse.”
“He hurt you.”
Lucifer placed his free hand on top of Raelynn's, stopping her from bandaging his other hand. She looked over at him as he held her hand, slightly shaking her head.
“Lucifer-”
“He hurt you. And I will do everything in my power to make sure that never happens again.”
Tears formed in her eyes, causing her to shake her head as she sniffled.
“Lucifer, you can’t promise that.”
Lucifer huffed as he stood, moving to stand in front of her, placing his hand on her cheek, wiping her tears as he gently forced her to look up at him.
“Detective, you have my word.”
Lucifer grinned, tilting his head to the side.
“And I never lie.”

Opening the door, Raelynn glared up at Lucifer as she leaned against the doorframe.
“Lucifer, how many times do I have to tell you, four in the morning is too damn early. Some people need to sleep. Me being one of them.”
Lucifer grinned, holding up the cup holder with two coffees and a paper bag.
“Which is why I bring goodies.”
Raelynn looked over at the bag, opening the door wide as she grabbed one of the cups, muttering to herself.
“You’re lucky you’re cute.”
Lucifer made a face, turning towards Raelynn, tilting his head to the side.
“Did you say something Detective?”
Raelynn closed the door, walking towards Lucifer.
“Yeah, what’d you bring for breakfast?”
Lucifer grinned, walking towards the table, setting the bag down.
“You’re usual, of course.”
Raelynn walked towards Lucifer, watching as he took the things out of the bag, sitting down at the table, grabbing one of the containers of food.
“Why are you here this early, again?”
Lucifer sat down, looking over at Raelynn, grinning.
“Because we have a case to solve, of course.”
“Lucifer, I’ve been working on this for some time. I highly doubt that you helping is going to make it go any faster.”
Raelynn turned towards Lucifer, lifting her finger and shaking her head.
“Not a word.”
Lucifer grinned, shaking his head.
“I didn’t say anything.”
Raelynn huffed, walking towards him.
“You were thinking it.”
Lucifer fell into step next to Raelynn, looking down at her.
“What was it you said this morning? Ah yes. ‘I highly doubt that you helping is going to make it go any faster.’”
“We still don’t know if it’s connected or not.”
Lucifer shook his head, opening the driver's door.
“We don’t know that it’s not.”
Raelynn huffed slightly, looking up at Lucifer.
“I do.”
Lucifer said nothing as he shut the door, walking around the car, getting in the passenger side.
“Have some faith, Detective. This could be the one thing you need to finally put this case behind you.”
Raelynn started the car, shaking her head.
“You don’t know what you’re talking about Lucifer.”
Lucifer made a face, looking over at Raelynn.
“I’m only trying to help you, Detective.”
Raelynn sighed as she pulled out onto the road, slightly shaking her head.
“I know you are. But you would’ve been helping me by staying out of it.”
“Detective-”
Raelynn parked at the station, cutting the car off, turning towards Lucifer.
“Nothing you say is going to change the facts, Lucifer. Because knowing about this puts you in danger.”
“I assure you, Detective, no harm will come to me, or you for that matter.”
Raelynn shook her head, opening the door.
“You can’t promise that Lucifer.”
Lucifer watched Raelynn walk towards the station, shaking his head as he climbed out of the car, following after her.
“Detective! Detective, wait!”
Lucifer huffed as he ran into someone, shaking his head as he stepped back, fixing his suit.
“Excuse me- Detective?”
Lucifer made a face as he walked in front of Raelynn, looking down at her.
“Detective?”
Lucifer turned when someone yelled her name, making a face as they walked towards them, smiling.
“Rae-rae, it’s so good to see you again!”
Lucifer watched as the man hugged Raelynn, noticing how tense she was, her face seemingly frozen in shock before she shook her head, pulling back from the hug.
“Marcus, what are you doing here?”
Marcus stepped back, grinning.
“I heard about your murder case. I thought I’d come and offer you my help.”
“I don’t- I ha-”
Lucifer stepped forward, moving to stand in front of Raelynn, smirking.
“Lucifer Morningstar. And who might you be?”
Marcus glared slightly, scoffing as he looked up at Lucifer.
“Marcus Grayson, and you are?”
Raelynn reached forward, taking Lucifer’s hand in hers as she moved to stand beside him.
“He’s my partner.”
Lucifer’s eyes widened as he looked down at Raelynn, smiling as he turned back towards Marcus.
“The Detective is correct, Michael, we’re partners.”
Marcus glared at their conjoined hands, slowly looking back up at Lucifer, offering him a tight smile.
“It’s Marcus.”
He turned towards Raelynn, tilting his head to the side.
“Rae-rae has a partner now? How interesting.”
“Yes, and we have things we need to discuss. Excuse us.”
Lucifer offered Marcus a tight smile as he gently tugged on Raelynn’s hand, falling into step beside her, his hand moving to her back as he led her away from Marcus, walking into an empty room, shutting the door behind him, watching as Raelynn paced the room, pulling at her hair.
“Detective?”
She ignored him, muttering to herself.
“Detective.”
Lucifer walked towards her, standing in front of her, stopping her from pacing as he grabbed her hands, pulling them away from her hair. He held her hand in his, his other hand moving under her chin as he gently forced her to look up at him. Lucifer clenched his jaw at the sight of her tears, his grip on her hand tightening as he growled.
“Who was that man?”
Raelynn shook her head, causing Lucifer’s hand to drop as she looked down at the floor.
“Lucifer-”
Lucifer stepped closer to her, cupping her jaw.
“Who is he, Detective?”
Raelynn sniffled, looked up at Lucifer.
“Marcus Grayson is- he’s my ex partner. The one I told you about.”
Lucifer glared, nodding as he stood to his full height, placing both his hands on her cheeks, wiping her tears.
“Stay here.”
Lucifer turned, walking towards the door as Raelynn made a face.
“Lucifer?”
Lucifer stopped at the door, looking back at her.
“Stay here.”
Lucifer walked out of the room, Raelynn shaking her head as she rushed towards the door, yelling as Lucifer rushed through the precinct.
“Lucifer!”

Intro Part One Part Two Part Three
Previously:
Lucifer believed to’ve made progress with Detective Raelynn only to fall short. After discovering something on the Detective’s computer, he finds where she lives to investigate only to find out something else.
“You have an awful lot of things in there, Detective. Might I inquire what it is you’re doing?”
“What I may or may not be doing in my home is of no concern to you Lucifer. Now get out.”
Lucifer shook his head as the Detective started to push him down the hall, looking back at her over his shoulder.
“I quite believe it is of concern to me, my dear.”
She scoffed, glaring up at him.
“Oh really? And why is that?”
Lucifer huffed slightly as he stopped, causing the Detective to slam into him, Lucifer grabbing her before she fell.
“Because Detective, we’re partners.”
The Detective shook her head, looking up at Lucifer, her jaw clenched.
“Lucifer, how many times do I have to tell you? We are not partners, and we never will be partners.”
Lucifer shook his head, dropping his hands from her arms.
“I don’t understand Detective. Just yesterday I thought we’d made progress-”
“It’s nothing against you Lucifer, but I don't do partners.”
Lucifer slightly made a face, tilting his head to the side.
“Why?”
The Detective sighed softly, shaking her head.
“I’m not getting into this with you Lucifer. Please just leave.”
She turned, moving to walk back down the hallway when Lucifer grabbed her hand, turning her back towards him.
“Detective, please.”
“Lucifer-”
Lucifer reached up, placing his hand on her cheek.
“Detective, for reasons I can’t explain at this time, I care about you. So please, talk to me.”
She sighed, looking down at the floor.
“I had a partner once. He was my best friend. I considered him my family and he betrayed me.”
She shook her head, looking up at Lucifer.
“I’ve had to learn the hard way that others can’t be trusted. So I’m sorry Lucifer, but I can’t have you as my partner.”
Lucifer sighed, dropping his hand.
“I saw what you’re working on, Detective. I can help you.”
“Lucifer-”
Lucifer shook his head, placing his finger over her mouth.
“We don’t have to be partners. But we can work together on this. You need help.”
He grinned, tilting his head to the side.
“And I’ve been told I can be very helpful.”
The Detective laughed, shaking her head.
"I'm sure you have, Lucifer."
"Then you agree? We shall solve this case of yours together?"
Detective Raelynn took a deep breath, Lucifer growing impatient as he waited for her reply when she nodded, looking up at him.
"Yes, we'll work the case together."
Lucifer smiled, clapping his hands together.
"Excellent! Let's get started then, shall we?"
“So the Detective has been hurt in the past by someone she trusted?”
“Yes. See, I thought the problem was me, but it isn’t.”
Linda nodded slightly, looking down at her notes.
“Maybe, but you could partially still be the problem Lucifer.”
“Nonsense. I’ve done nothing to harm the Detective unlike her previous partner, nor would I ever.”
“Yes, but Lucifer-”
Lucifer’s phone went off, causing him to reach into his pocket and pull his phone out, smiling as Linda sighed.
“Lucifer, how many times have I told you, no cell phones during our sessions?”
Lucifer stood, not bothering to look over at Linda as he walked towards the door.
“Pleasure as always Linda!”
Linda huffed as Lucifer walked out of the room, shaking her head.
“Every single time.”

Intro Part One Part Two
Lucifer walked into the precinct with a slight pep to his step, grinning. Yesterday he’d managed to get the Detective to let him take her back to the precinct, even gracing him with a smile and a laugh, something he wanted to see and hear again. His grin grew into a smile when he saw the Detective sitting at her desk, looking at her computer, an opened file next to her.
“Ah, good morning, Detective.”
He placed the cup in front of her, moving to sit on the edge of her desk.
“Coffee, for the lovely Detective.”
She didn’t bother to look up at him, or even acknowledge him as she slammed the file shut, causing his smile to fall.
“Detective?”
She shook her head, glancing up at him.
“Not now Lucifer.”
“Detective-”
She shook her head, shutting her computer off before she stood, grabbing the file.
“Not now Lucifer.”
Lucifer huffed as he watched her walk off, disappearing around the corner.
“Well now, this just won’t do.”
Lucifer got up, moving to sit in her chair, cutting her computer on.
“Ah Detective, don’t you know that you must put a password if you want to be sneaky.”
Lucifer found what the Detective was working on without problem, but all it did was cause him to have more questions when he saw Dan.
“Ah, Detective Douche.”
Dan clenched his jaw as he stopped, turning towards Lucifer with a tight smile.
“Lucifer. What is it?”
Lucifer leaned back in the chair, tapping his fingers together as he looked up at Dan.
“Do you know where I could find Detective Raelynn?”
Dan slightly made a face as he walked towards Lucifer, setting the files he was carrying down on the desk, pointing a finger at Lucifer.
“So help me Lucifer if you’ve done something-”
Lucifer scoffed, slapping Dan’s finger away.
“I’ve done nothing to the Detective. How dare you assume otherwise.”
“Do you know where she is or not?”
“She left.”
“She left?”
“She left. She took the day off.”
Dan picked the files up, nodding.
“That's why I have these.”
Lucifer nodded, standing up.
“And do you happen to know where she went?”
Dan shook his head, adjusting the files in his arms.
“Her home I’m assuming. She didn’t say and I didn’t ask.”
Lucifer nodded as he turned, causing Dan to make a face.
“Where are you going?”
“To find her.”
The consistent knocking at her door causing her to let out a growl of frustration as she stood, carefully stepping over the papers strewn about the room. She closed the door behind her, her hands balled into fists. She didn’t bother to look through the peephole, throwing the door open, her eyes widening.
“Lucifer?”
She shook her head, scoffing as she pulled the door closer to her, blocking Lucifer from entering her house.
“What are you doing here?”
Lucifer grinned, looking down at her.
“We’re partners, dear. And you are working on a case.”
Raelynn held up her finger, shaking her head.
“First of all, we are not partners, Lucifer, and as far as I’m concerned, we never will be.”
Lucifer’s face fell as Raelynn continued, her chest heaving.
“Secondly, how the hell did you find out where I live?”
Lucifer shook his head, smirking.
“I’m the devil dear. I have my ways.”
Raelynn scoffed, nodding.
“I’m sure. But you can leave Lucifer. I’m not working on a case.”
Lucifer held up his finger when she went to close the door, stopping the door with his foot.
“Ah, but your computer says otherwise.”
Raelynn’s face fell into a scowl as she opened the door wider, glaring up at Lucifer.
“You were on my computer?”
She shook her head, scoffing.
“You had no business being anywhere near or on my computer.”
“Considering we are partners, what’s yours is mine and what’s mine is yours.”
Raelynn made a face, huffing slightly as she shook her head.
“That- you’re thinking of marriage, Lucifer.”
She held up her finger, shooting him a look.
“Which is something that’ll never happen, especially between us. Now, the partners you should be talking about understand that there are certain things that have nothing to do with you. The things on my computer are one of them.”
“Yes well-”
Lucifer’s eyes widened when the door was slammed shut in his face, gasping.
“How rude.”
Lucifer reached down, trying the handle, smirking when it opened. He made his way inside the Detective’s home, looking around. It was simple, a few decorations placed around the room. But there was nothing that stuck out to Lucifer.
“Interesting.”
There was no sign of the Detective in the rooms Lucifer could see, so he decided to explore more. The other rooms matched the main room, hardly any decorations or personal items. Lucifer walked down the hall, opening the doors and looking around before he moved to the next room. He opened the door, his eyes widening.
“Oh my dad.”
The Detective jumped, turning towards Lucifer, her eyes widening before she shook her head, glaring up at Lucifer.
“Lucifer, what the hell are you doing in here!?”
Lucifer slightly shook his head before he smirked, looking down at the Detective.
“Well my dear, I could ask you the same thing.”
“I live here! You however do not! So get out!”
She walked towards him, pushing him out of the room. Lucifer grinned as he watched the Detective close the door.
“I quite believe it is of concern to me my dear.”
She scoffed, glaring up at him.
“Oh really? And why is that?”
Lucifer huffed slightly as he stopped, causing the Detective to slam into him, Lucifer grabbing her before she fell.
“Because Detective, we’re partners.”

The Devil’s Detective (Lucifer Morningstar x Fem!Reader)
The Soldier's Princess:
"Mother please! He would never hurt me!"
"He's a monster, like every other man. Except he is worse. He's a murderer. A killer."
Tears formed in your eyes as you balled your hands into fists, shaking your head.
"He's not a monster. I know him. He's never hurt me."
"He will."
The Devil's Detective:
"You know Detective, I really am the devil."
"Sure. And I'm really the queen."
Lucifer huffed, shaking his head as he glanced at the Detective.
"You know, I've met the queen before dear. She wasn't quiet as, stubborn, as you are."
Raelyn tapped her fingers against the steering wheel, humming.
"You're right. She's more stubborn than me."
"Yes well, either way, I am truly the devil."
"Lucifer."
Lucifer looked over at the Detective, his eyebrows raised. She'd only ever said his name with contempt, or anger when he'd done something he shouldn't.
"I've met the devil before and he wasn't you."
