I can’t shake the feeling of how unprofessional rd writers act. I mean, as a journalist, I was taught that you never can put your personal opinion in your writing/comments etc. and that’s why I have no respect for these people. They’re acting like a whiny children and causing the breakdowns of real children who watch this show and believe everything they say
oof, you're not wrong. and to be fair, it seems to be mostly evan and (previously) ted. a lot of the writers have been professional from my memory (i could be forgetting some tbh).
i feel like these men, who are approaching or have already reached middle age, just do not understand fandom and how it's changed or how to engage with it. they want to tease, they want to create hype, they want us to talk about it (that part works), but what evan is doing is just trolling the younger b/as.
i haven't posted any of the trolls i've gotten lately because i just legitimately feel bad for them now. this show is not subtle. it's not trying to outsmart you, it is slapping you upside the face with its dynamics and they very clearly spell out what's happening in canon then troll on social media.
(how did we go from "hey" to jughead dropping everything to help betty to a confession that he's not over their breakup in 3 episodes you ask? because this show said, varchie is together, it's bughead time now! and that's what they're gonna do)
i'm totally fine with the writers having preferences, btw, but i agree it's extremely unprofessional to use it for engagement on socials when you have teens on the internet who will absorb and expect every word you say while also shaming them for their (yes, sometimes inappropriate) response when they find out you lied to them.

I have written a new article about how The Mandalorian is most definitely setting up a Star Wars Babies spinoff. Sign up to The Dipp to read it!
It’s what Baby Chewie would want.
I've been looking pretty good lately.

You’re welcome.

In this article, I accidentally uncover a scandal that absolutely no one cares about. Enjoy!
With its premiere steadily approaching this year, there’s been much speculation surrounding what the 13th series of Doctor Who will be about.
I wrote a new article where I pitch an entire season of Doctor Who based on ripping off Farscape. Hit me up, BBC.
Joe Heath is a big fan of comic books and watching things in order. So he made this spreadsheet containing every serial, short, film, television episode, commercial, motion comic, and web series based on a comic book. Now he’s watching them all. Previously, Joe started the first ever comic book…
I finished season one of Adventures of Superman and so can you!
