okay so we know i'm a big hwang brothers enthusiast.
we have barely seen lee!in-ho, AND i fucking hated the 'confrontation' scene if you can even call it that.
but maybe, this scenario can take place right before in-ho joins the games for the first time.
he's depressed, and possibly lonely. his wife is in the hospital, on life support - sitting in his empty apartment, his brother, Jun-Ho decides to pay him a quick visit.
the visit basically goes along the lines of In-Ho wants to shut himself out from everyone, but Jun-Ho doesn't let him. In fact, growing up, when Jun-Ho was sad, he was tickled into oblivion by his big brother a ton, and since he was still a kid/teenager, he couldn't fight back- but now?
ohh boy.
now, Jun-Ho atleast had a fair chance. Sooo...
he should try and bring back some of that childish nostalgia, but turn the tables on his hyung <3
okay, thank you and bYEE

No More Locking In
tw: the brothers of DOOM (not clickbait)/j its just a little moody in the beginning but thats all
In-ho stared ahead at the sad little glass bowl with two goldfish in it. His mind didn’t really process them though, he was zoned out. Thinking.
Thinking about his wife in the hospital.
Thinking about his severe lack of money to pay for the hospital bills.
Thinking about awful things were right now.
Things really were going to shit, and In-ho just felt so helpless. His eyes drifted to the little business card that was next to the fishtank, and he remembered the sketchy situation he was in earlier. He was almost tempted to call the number on it, but it just felt stupid. He didn’t have the energy to even get up, anyway.
Until he heard a knock on the door.
“Uh- go away, please. I’m… busy.” He called, startled out of his thoughts.
“Come on hyung, it’s me.” A familiar voice replied, and In-ho’s eyes widened, recognizing his younger brother. With a sigh, he stood up, stretched, and opened the door.
In-ho was greeted by the bright, smiling face of Jun-ho.
“So what were you busy doing? Sorry for interrupting, but I wanted to talk to you.”
“It’s fine,” In-ho replied, looking back into his room and then at Jun-ho again. “I was just…” he couldn’t figure out what to say. Jun-ho tilted his head.
“You weren’t really busy, were you?”
In-ho shrugged.
Jun-ho scoffed in amusement. “Let me guess, that’s your defense mechanism against visitors?”
Another shrug.
“Whatever,” Jun-ho said. “Can I come in?”
“Oh! Yes, sorry.” In-ho stepped aside, letting his brother enter the room and sit in his bed. In-ho closed the door and sat beside him. “What did you want to talk about?”
Jun-ho slumped forward, his forearms resting on his knees. “You’ve been quiet, hyung. We’re worried about you. How come you never visit?”
In-ho looked away. “I um… I’ve got a lot on my mind, recently…” he went quiet. Jun-ho was not satisfied with that answer.
“That’s not a reason to ignore your family, In-ho. We just want to help you.” He jabbed In-ho in the side as he said this, and noticed his older brother squirm and press his lips together.
“Don’t.”
That made Jun-ho remember something. A smile slowly formed on his face. In-ho saw.
“What are you smiling about?”
“Remember what you used to do to me when I was stressed?”
“I did a lot of things when you were stressed,” In-ho recalled. “I’d offer you advice, help you out if it was homework or something, provide comfort… oh, also I used to ti… oh.” He trailed off when he saw Jun-ho smile even wider at the word he didn’t finish saying.
“Yeah. You’d tickle me. And because I’m younger, I was never able to get you back.”
“..okay?”
Jun-ho chuckled. “Lately, you have seemed very stressed, hyung. Would you like some support?” He lifted his hands and wiggled his fingers, smirking, and In-ho immediately knew what that implied.
“Okay- Jun-ho, we’re not kids anymore. Don’t do that.”
“Don’t do what?”
“You know what.” In-ho was getting irritated.
“No really, what?” Jun-ho scooted closer.
“Don’t tickle me!” In-ho moved away.
“Damn,” Jun-ho lightheartedly sighed. “You didn’t say it right.” He lowered his hands, seemingly giving up on tickling In-ho.
“…What was I supposed to say? What the hell?”
Jun-ho giggled. “It was supposed to go like this; You say ‘Don’t’, I ask ‘Don’t what?’ And then you say ‘tickle me’ and then… I do this!”
Jun-ho darted his hands forward, squeezing In-ho’s sides. His older brother yelped and grabbed his wrists.
“Gahahah- Jun-ho whahat the fuhuhu-“
“But you ruined it!” Jun-ho continued. “It’s funny because it makes it seem like you asked for it.”
“I-I can sehee thahat-“ In-ho managed to pull Jun-ho’s hands away for a moment, but his younger brother was quick to dart his hands up to his ribs instead, and In-ho continued giggling. This made it easier for Jun-ho to push him onto his back, straddling his waist.
“Look, brother, isn’t this nostalgic?” Jun-so said sweetly as he scribbled his fingers over In-ho’s stomach. “I remember doing this all the time when we were kids… except, the roles were reversed.”
“Shuhut uhuhup! Thihihi-thihis is soho duhuhumb!”
“Why do you look so happy, then?” Jun-ho really was having the time of his life. When he was little, he did successfully tickle In-ho a little bit, but he was never able to really get him until now. And it was awesome. He felt like a little kid again. “Now, lets see if I can can remember your worst spots…”
“Yohou little shihiIIIIHIHIT” In-ho actually squealed when Jun-ho squeezed his hips, and he thrashed like a madman to try to get away, but his little brother was stronger than he remembered. Jun-ho laughed at the sound he made.
To In-ho, this was??? So weird?? He was used to just pushing the little shit away, but with the new size difference, that was a bajillion times harder! He tried anyway, pushing at Jun-ho’s shoulders, but the tickling actually made him weaker. How embarrassing!
“AHAHAH FUHU- FUHAHAHAHAAHACK!”
“What’s wrong hyung, can’t even get the words out?” Jun-ho moved one hand to In-ho’s armpit, who tried desperately to roll over, trapping Jun-ho’s hand. Jun-ho has never seen his big brother laugh like this before. And he loved it so much, especially compared to how miserable the guy has been the past couple months. He could tell he needed this.
While, In-house was laughing hysterically, Jun-ho began to lecture him.
“You see, hyung, you can’t just sit around and be miserable all the time. I know it’s tempting, you know, to lose all hope and give up, but.. are you even listening?” He scribbled his fingers into In-ho’s neck with a playful grin.
“AHAHHEHEHEHEHEE- YEHES YESYESYES”
“Okay, good. As I was saying, I know it’s difficult, but you gotta take matters into your own hands. Put yourself out there, start small and work your way up, ask for help, and…” he paused. “Just double checking, you are actually listening, correct?” He reached back and squeezed In-ho’s knees. In-ho yelped and kicked his legs.
“FUHUCK- YES! I AHAHAM! STAHAHAP!”
“Just making sure, because you seem distracted. I wonder why.”
In-ho playfully smacked his arm. Jun-ho’s mischievous grin never faded.
“Anyway, what I’m trying to say is this. Don’t succumb to misery. You are capable of much more than you think you are, and it’s never too late to do great things. Okay?” For once, he slowed his tickling, gently scribbling on In-ho’s sides. His loud cackles turned to giggles.
“stahahap!”
“I said, OKAY?”
“Yes! Ohokay!”
Finally, the tickles stoped. In-house wrapped his hands around his midsection, panting. Jun-ho moved off of him.
“I am going to kill you,” In-ho said as he sat up after catching his breath.
Knowing exactly what that meant, Jun-ho giggled, not entirely worried about that. “Do you promise to not be so cagey anymore?” He asked, placing a hand on In-ho’s shoulder.
“..yeah. Sure.”
Jun-ho nodded, satisfied. “You’re gonna call me later, right? And Mom? She’d love to hear from you.”
“Yeah, I’ll call you guys.” He was beginning to get a little distracted, only half listening at this point. Something else was pestering the back of his mind, like a wasp trapped in someone’s cupped hands.
“Perfect. See you, hyung.” Jun-ho left.
And In-ho sat there. Thinking.
About something else this time. He turned his head and looked at what was next to the fishbowl.
He picked up the little business card, examining the little shapes on it. Then, he picked up his cellphone, dialing the number on the back of his card.
Jun-ho was right. He couldn’t just sit around anymore.
Just going to go over what happened yesterday because it was one of the weirdest/longest/coolest days ever.
Had 2 hours sleep, got up at half 3 because our coach was at half five (we only did that to save £40, in all honesty we're not that dedicated) And then we met/queued up with the lovely Lindsay and Amy. Then I died because I was tired and I can't remember what happened between then and Lindsay letting us hang in her hotel room with yeetos and goldfish. After that we went to lazy oaf etc had something to eat and then went to hmv. Amy, Lucy and I hung out in the classical section because we were exhausted and there were comfy chairs and it was really funny. Then we queued for about 20 minutes for the performance and after that an hour and a half for the signing.
ANYWAY so we went up to the table and I saw Ash first and he pointed at me smiled and went 'It's good to see you!' And I was like aksjdkad but then I was like YOUDIDNTWEARMYSLAGSUND and it clearly looked like I was on drugs/crying because then stefan sort of looked away from signing books and stared at me and Ash held out his hands and went 'wooah what's wrong???' and then I was just like oh shit and went 'you didn't wear my slag sunday shirt, that was really upsetting.' And I wanted to grab his hands back but security told me not to, lol. Anyway Ash apologised and said it was in his bedroom so lol I guess I forgive him. THEN I MOVED ON to stefan and he was like 'Disturbia' ;) and pointed at my top and I was like YES then I pulled UP my top to show him my 'my brother's car' shirt, being careful not to flash them, but you could see the looks of horror on the security guards faces and all three of tmb just stopped and stared at me. But when they saw what I was doing they all laughed and it was a pretty fab moment. I tried to pull out my camera to video them saying happy birthday to Liv then but I got ushered off so Dru and I just smiled and waved at each other and I think he winked too lol.
THEN WE MET UP WITH LINDSAY AGAIN AND THEN WE MISSED OUR COACH HOME BECAUSE WE CANT TELL THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN ARRIVALS AND DEPARTURES and had to take an emergency train. So overall about a 22 hour day for me but whatever it was good :)
