There should be a horror movie about laundry. About how it mysteriously increases, and the character starts by having a normal life with a normal amount of trips to the washer and dryer.
Then, slowly as the characters life continues it increases. Maybe they have to also start rewashing clothes because weird stains sometimes appear. And the stench is becoming more foul.
But over the course of the film the basket keeps getting heavier, the loads of laundry more and more obscure and they start questioning whether or not this clothing is theirs or if its even clothing but they need to wash it before trying to go do other things. Because thats how chores and life works.
The character start to constantly think their clothes and bedding smells more and more awful, but you just watched them wash everything several times over. That detergent is borderline pure bleach. It blanches the clothes and yet that smell remains.
It starts stacking up and so they keep trying to do it faster or in the background. But then, the washer doesn't wash it right if they aren't watching it.
And the dryer doesn't always stay on long enough to dry it and so forth.
Till the main character is dragging loads of laundry on their bloody knees surrounded by mountains of 'kinda looks like laundry but its not' and just a demonic washer and dryer chugging away in the most awful sense.
They are withered away and their eyes are glazed over and haunted, but the laundry... It needs doing.
And there is a distant sound of knocking, the camera pans away to the front door thats bright and cheerful in comparison to the dreary greys and blacks that overtook the screen ages ago but ever so slowly you never noticed it...
And the dryer beeps, the mountains of laundry are gone. A basket of unwashed greasy and foul smelling clothes lay in front of the washer.
The front door opens and faintly a person says they are here to help.
