Zuzana Lalikova is a London based designer/maker working with textiles and work is influenced by tradition and traditional crafts.

Embroidery is the main focus of her work, re-purposing traditional craft technique into contemporary designs. With geometry being an endless source of inspiration she creates embroidery artworks of varying scales as well as accessories from her studio in SW London blurring lines between art and craft.

Each piece takes days, weeks or even months to complete with every single stitch carefully contemplated and counted. Even though every design starts off with a rough draft it changes along the way to create a balanced design.
