charisma starter for @rkjohnny !
a bookstore wouldn’t usually be at the top of pj’s list of places to hangout, but, as much as he hated to admit it, he could almost die for some new reading material. comic books were his go-to, but, at this point, he’d even be willing to take a novel (graphic or otherwise). the boy perused the shelves, skimming over the titles of hundreds of books, desperate to find something that sounded the least bit interesting. every now and then he’d grab a book from the shelves, carrying it with him until he could reach a final decision.
eventually, pj had amassed a considerable stack of books, and carrying them was becoming somewhat difficult. i probably look like such a nerd, he thought to himself, realizing that it was about time that he decide which books he actually wanted. as he was backing out of an aisle to find someplace to sort through the books, however, he bumped into a wall that he could have sworn wasn’t there a minute ago, sending him and the books toppling onto the floor below. “dude, are you kidding me?” he asked, looking over his shoulder at the wall—which, it turned out, was actually a man who must have been the size of a small skyscraper. “seriously?” he asked the stranger, making his way back onto his feet. “did you not see me backing into you?”
