~Anticipation~

Sometimes a puppy needs to go outside more than a mannerly adult. But when Tristan goes outside and Yvaine declines to go... Yvaine waits. When they come back, Yvaine is going to get a CARROT. Just because she is a good girl!

She shifts her weight, she lifts her head, she shifts her weight, she tilts her head. She's being very, very impatiently patient.

Tristan was having a fidgety post-chores morning. (These days, he usually wants to go straight to a mid-day nap after all the morning excitement.) So I got out some new toys: squeaky penguings, just like from the igloo puzzle toy, but new. I stuck them in the dino/volcano puzzle toy.

Tris picked up the whole volcano and carried it to "his" corner of the bed. And he gave me this look... I don't know if that's "You did it wrong" or "Whoa, mind blown."

He proceeded to remove one penguin from the volcano, set it down, rest his nose against it, and fall asleep for that midday nap.

I think my puppy is growing up, folks. There may be an adult in there after all.

The Fidgets-Hey

The chances are if you're a regular visit to Worcester city you'll have stumbled across Max Stockin and Ryan Skidmore, a young local guitar and vocals duo, bashing out a Beatles or Kinks cover or two, somewhere on the high street or in the market place, entertaining the shoppers with their tight pop-ladharmonines and an obvious love of all things rock 'n' roll, you may have also seen them treading the boards at the Wednesday jam session at the Marrs Bar or performing at Worcester Music Festival, the duo just love to play and have been doing so since March of 2013 (although they may not look old enough!) Last year the band released their first EP, entitled I'm Alright, four originals that managed to capture that live in your front room feel, whilst harnessing that aforementioned love of rock n'' roll, since then the duo have racked up there 500th street performance, whilst also working on brand new material, readying for a follow up EP to be released sometime over the summer. Hey is the band's first single and if it's a taster of things to come, the new EP is going to be an infectious combination of Beatles like strums, infectious pop harmonies all topped with a contagious, big sing-a-long hook. The track is an irristible summery pop-rock number that sees Max and Ryan, trade vocals and riffs before uniting for that naggingly brilliant hook-laden chorus, you can imagine Hey slipping in effortlessly alongside their choice covers, inviting Worcester's shoppers, or indeed gig goers to join in on backing vocals.
