She hated that voice. She hated that she even thought of him, and his stupid, desperate, obviously fake offer.

Poe pursed his lips. “You’re thinking about Hux’s offer, aren’t you?”

“No!”

“Yeah, you are. You have that same closed-off expression as this afternoon.”

Rose felt her face heat. “It’s not worth considering.”

In the aftermath of the Final Order's collapse, Rey experiences a disturbance in the Force--her Dyad bond with Ben Solo has tethered him to a realm between life and death, leaving open a pathway to an ancient evil that threatens the entire galaxy. Finn joins Lando and Jannah on their quest to find long-lost family and discovers that his Force sensitivity is growing far faster than he realized. Meanwhile, Poe accidentally gets himself involved in Zorii's personal mission of revenge and Rose deals with the tremendous weight of filling Leia's shoes.

The Final Steps is back - in fanfic form and with a shiny new cover! Art by @jenniferbrincho. Edited and beta read by @theunforgivenscone! Updates will be sporadic for my sanity, lol. But there will be updates.

Highly recommend starting from the beginning if you can--there's new character insight and some plot fixes that bring a lot more to the story. But you can also start right where the comic left off and follow along from there!

Hello all! Thanks so much for your patience as I recovered from burnout. I’m pleased to announce that I’ve been working on this project again 🎉

It’s not a fully illustrated comic (still don’t have the bandwidth to do that right now) but! The story is continuing. I’ve reworked my outline for The Final Steps and will be posting it as a fanfic on here and on AO3, starting from the beginning.

I hope you’ll enjoy the story in written form! Excited to share it with you soon. It’s been fun to explore the characterization in more detail than the comic format allowed.
