Long overdue fanart of The Firelight Tree by @e11era. If you are a JayVik fan and yet for some reason have not read it, please do so. Slow-burn dumb geniuses in love (and another genius forced to watch it play out) plus therapy time for almost everyone involved (This got me into the JayVik fanfic rabbit hole which was AO3).

I started this in June of this year. JUNE. Then I started having hardware and software problems. Not only that, it was so crazy hot during the time that my lazy ass would prefer to sleep than draw.

I'm so embarrassed at how long it took, and even more so at the fact that it did not quite go as well as it should. (I just now realized I forgot to color in the fingerprints on Jayce's forehead)

To e11era, I know I already consulted you on their outfits but I must apologize if it still ended up not quite as you had envisioned, and for taking so long. I do hope you still like it, though.

...I'm rambling again. Time to crawl back to my hole.

I recently did a fan binding of The Firelight Tree by @e11era. It arrived halfway across the world. Yay!! This is the copy she received.

I learned a lot about my printer and what is can and can't do.

This was the other bind that I kept. Totally different style and totally different learning curve. I like them both but see all the flaws too.

This is an addictive hobby!!

Thank god for Tumblr and the fact I can glaze this stunning gift from @kansouame appropriately. That said, I honestly don't feel that words can describe how unbelievably grateful and humbled I am by your talent and generosity. The endpapers, the gold foiling, the ribbon and charm, just, argh. The attention to detail is squeezing my heart in the best way possible.

Fanbinding is a truly magical pursuit and I can't wait to return this love to others in our fandom who have written stories about our beloved Jayce and Viktor that touched my heart in return.

Kans, a thousand thank yous; I will treasure this eternally.
