I've checked my equipment. Rations have been distributed. We near our drop point and I am prepared. War is imminent and you may never hear from me again, but if this is to be my final battle, I will have died for the glory of our Mighty Empire.

Finally, I have a new assignment and will be leaving the Massive far behind. I cannot say the stay was enjoyable... far too long for my tastes. Soon, I will be back on the battlefield where I belong.

Against my better judgement, I did decide to take a look around and happened upon one of my batchmates. He didn't even recognise me. The sooner I get a new assignment, the better. All this inaction leaves me far too restless.

So far, I am keeping the soldier's blog to journalling only, but of course, I have been drawing this bug. Here is some artwork that pairs with this alternate timeline Zim.

Time spent between missions might as well be time in stasis.
My layover this time is onboard the Massive and I've yet to be told when we will be shipping out. I do believe our boarding must have been a mistake as I do not see many of my fellow front linesmen here - an error in sorting at evac perhaps.
It is... certainly a big ship and my first time aboard it. I might as well make the most of my stay. It is unlikely I will ever come aboard this vessel again.

Today was bloody.
The reinforcements we received were little more than fodder. We all are, I suppose, but I have seen enough mangled bodies for today. Does that make me weak? Sentimental? Technically, there is no fault to be found. Errors are excused in moments of justifiable duress. I am too seasoned to keep letting this happen though. I will no longer openly mourn the fallen.
