OId school, old’s cool. Short and sweet, this 10-track LP blasts through fast drums, fast raps and fast cuts like it’s on the run from the cops. As well as the expected b-boy breaks, there are some great left-field feedback, organ scrapes and 60’s head samples. The kind of shit that catches your ears with a “what the fuck was that?” vibe.

Songs about digging for records, messing with women, staying positive in a world of shit or just simply rocking the mic are the staples of hiphop but in the hands of experts they should never get stale. Format and Phil Most Chill’s LP is as fresh as the produce section.
