Gentlemen and ladies, let us never forget the ideals that make a good relationship great. Communicate effectively and learn to understand your partner. She doesn’t need you to solve her problems, simply to listen sometimes. Ladies, help him know when you need his ear, not his opinion. Grow together, not apart. Give each other the respect you deserve. Make love with your minds and fall in love with your souls. Never leave anything unsaid- tomorrow is promised to no one. Put your partner first and love unselfishly. Never forget the little things: you’ll find out later that they may turn out to be the big things. Love unconditionally, forgive wholeheartedly and pursue forever unapologetically. It’s your story and your fairy tale. Write the ending the way you want, and paint the color of your life and love with the feelings that move your souls. That will weave the wonderful tapestry of a couple.. That never stopped believing in each other or love. Sometimes, a happily ever after needs a little TLC, a lot of understanding, and two hearts that will never give up on each other. Has the common pursuit of courting a woman gone by the wayside?

Chivalry may not be lost, but Gentlemen, here are some refreshers on how to woo. Catch her eye with your style and charm, but engage her mind to further the conversation. Don’t impress her with fancy gadgets and try to buy her affection. Any good woman will be more attracted to your character and manners.

Sure, the big things matter:

• Plan the date, but find out what she likes.

Listen, listen, listen.

• No lady wants to hear a monologue about your life.

• Dates are conversations, not speeches.

• Be interested: who she is, wants she wants and her dreams.

If you want to speak to her heart, start with her head.

• Treat her with respect.

• Fulfill your promises.

The little things also matter, just as much.

• Surprise her with a handwritten love note.

• Take her to her favorite cafe.

• Open her door, take her coat, pull out her chair.

• Hold her hand and flirt with her.

These aren’t all the ways, surely, but this is a good start. Be a man of quality if you seek a lady of dignity..and that’s a two way street.

Gentlemen, There are some basic truths we should never forget as we live, love and romance a lady. If chivalry is to make a comeback, let us lead the way. Never let a chance, a day or a moment pass you by. Seize the opportunity to make her fall in love with you all over again. Don’t be lazy in love. No matter if it’s been 10 minutes or 10 years, show her she’s loved, she’s beautiful and how very special she is. It’s not all about the big things. The little things add up. Hold her door, offer to pull the car around, give her your hand or coat. Make your actions gentlemanly and live accordingly. Live with honor, love with passion and act with courage. Anyone can be ordinary. Do it what it takes to be extraordinary. Treat her with respect, always like a lady. Protect her and cherish her. As a person, as a woman, as your partner. The dividends will be limitless. Lastly, never ever forget that love is a choice. She wasn’t always in your life and take nothing for granted.. she could be gone tomorrow. Gentle on the outside yet savage on the inside. Personify the noble savage and embody the patient wolf. Know when to hold her hand and know when to pull her hair. She doesn't need flowers on her good days, she needs a warm embrace on the bad ones; Respect. Honor. Character. Passion.

A man will tell her she's beautiful, but a gentleman will make her believe it. A Gentleman will love passionately, have a compassionate nature and possess dispassionate judgement. Gracious in manner and humble in tone, a Gentleman will always open her door, hold her hand, know the difference between pride and hubris.

Touch her with your words, pierce her with your eyes, and make love to her with your kiss. Engage her mind, enflame her heart and connect with her soul.. A fancy watch won't make the time to act respectfully, but a Gentleman will make the time for his lady.

The clothes do not grant one class, for a Gentleman wears it with dignity. Chivalry isn't dead, but it can't be bought, found or borrowed. It must be learned, practiced and applied. Manners will open all the doors that even the best pick up lines won't.

She's a lady, not an object, So treat her with courtesy, love her with passion and listen to her respectfully. Don't make her wait, chase or blush. Unless, of course, it's behind closed doors. Neckties aren't just for adornment- They are a bedroom accessory.

Where has the romance gone? When did we stop being gentlemen and ladies ? When did we stop opening doors and being respectful and start disrespecting women and think that was okay? We cherish the songs that touch our hearts yet we don't act with honor and character. How did chivalry begin to die and why is morally decrepit behavior becoming the new acceptable standard? We don't fight for love anymore when times get tough, so many just look for a replacement. When did quitting on vows of "til death do us part" become acceptable and moreover, commonplace? Respect her, love her, cherish her. You don't have to stop the world for her, because she is already your world. Stop the deceit, disrespect and dishonor. There are some things in this life worth fighting for, and if you truly love someone, fight for them, not against them. Don't let go just because the world knocks you down. Stand up stronger, and together. Don't let true romance be the ideals of a time past, but instead the promise of a generation to come. Maybe I'm old fashioned, but I know there's hope hiddden out there to rekindle the courage of chivalry. Don't ask yourself where has the class gone.. Become the class.

Chivalry is dead

It's not dead. But it is on its way out. As soon as the "cool and trendy" thing to be became the "suave bad boy" or the "gangsta" where it was "sexy" to be seen as nonchalant and apathetic, mysterious, it started dying. Because that generation started to lose it. And then when that generation had kids, they didn't teach their children, and so those children didn't teach their own kids.

Chivalry is taught with good manners and having respect for others, as well as yourself. And people seem to have lost that concept. Respect for others, on a basic human level has left the building.

When was the last time you heard someone teach their child to "hold the door open for others, especially older folks and mothers." Or

"If you have money, and someone needs a dollar, whether it's in a store, or on the street, offer it to them. Even if it'll leave you broke."

"Pull a chair out for them, before you sit down."

"Help a stranger cross the street/ carry bags / help them up stairs ect."

"Put others before yourself."

"Give the shirt off your back to a complete stranger if you need to."

Chivalry takes pure selflessness, and most people nowadays aren't taught how to do that.
