The Journey: Chapter 9 "Home"
Lazaras chuckles
"Now now, that bit of heat sure made you cranky. You as a experienced traveler should be able to endure this, shouldn’t you?"
The heat isn’t the only thing that has gotten to you though. The shifting sand under your hooves made you trip more then once and if you stay still for to long it gets unbearable hot. But the sand that flies around in the air is far worse. Over and over again sudden gusts of wind make you eat the damn stuff. It’s almost like it’s waiting for you to open your mouth. And of course the monotony. Since you started both Lazaras and Lakarie raved over the beauty of the desert. Your still waiting for it. It’s just dunes and dunes. Under you, behind you, in front of you. Mountains of hot sand. You sigh
"Well, there IS a oasis not really far from here." Lakarie looks over to you “ A pretty famous one even. If we” she gets harshly interrupted by Laz
"No. There’s no time for this. If we want to make it to the city before the sandstorms start we can’t even loose a single hour"
Lakarie smiles sly
"Oh really? So you’re sure about not visiting The eye of the Divine?"
SolOmen
"What's the point *pant* of a vacation. If we don't *pant* enjoy ourselves a little."
" Just take us to the damn oasis. I still have bits, Maybe we can buy a freaking camel or something, Because this heat is ridiculous"
Lazaras stops and turns around, a look on his face you’d call “eerily excited” for his circumstances
"What?! We’re close to it? How long would it take us?"
Lakarie checks the map
"About… … 2 hours. Maybe less"
"Alright then. It’s settled. You should be thankfull Sol, you’re in for a treat"
Then he proceeds to lead your small group… with a happy jump in his step
