Element relationships: Good & Bad
First let me start off by saying the four elements balance one another out and relationships between all four are necessary for the functioning of the universe.
Even negative relationships can provide us with insight and knowledge towards building a more balanced world.
Part one: P O S I T I V E R E L A T I O N S H I PS
+ FIRE NEEDS AIR to grow, spread, and conquer. Fire needs air to ignite. Fire signs are the muscle of the operation but they need air: the brains, to believe in their ideas and help them reach new people and cross new boundaries.
+ FIRE NEEDS EARTH to burn. Fire is meaningless if there isn’t something to burn. Fire needs the stability of earth to help it stay lit. Fire signs need stabile and level headed earth signs to be partners in crime or heroism.
+ AIR NEEDS FIRE to gain strength, power, and attention. Air is transparent and needs the big personality of fire to help it be seen by others and gain traction in the real world.
+AIR NEEDS WATER as a vessel to flow, connect, and inspire. Stripping the air of its moisture would leave us with an unlivable world. Air signs need water signs to help them bridge their abstract and sometimes chaotic ideas into something beautiful and beneficial to others.
+ WATER NEEDS EARTH as a foundation to flow freely and manifest. Water is at home on the earth, and water can’t survive without a foundation to fill. Water signs will feel heard and seen by earth signs, who provide them with the stability they crave.
+ WATER NEEDS AIR to move and travel outside their comfort zone. Just like a strong wind can pull a current, air signs inspire water signs to venture to new places and become less attached to the past.
+ EARTH NEEDS FIRE to grow, flourish, and transform. Think about plants needing the sun for photosynthesis. Earth signs need the heat and muscle of fire to build new things, create innovative solutions, and experience positive change.
+ EARTH NEEDS WATER to grow and live sustainably. Just like plants need to be watered to grow, earth signs need the healing power and sustenance of water signs to grow into their true potential.

Part two: N E G A T I V E R E L A T I O N S H I PS
— WATER DROWNS OUT FIRE: Water is the only element that sees through alot of the fire ego and so fire signs don't have a strong front against a water sign. Water signs will expose a fire sign if they have impure intentions. They will “put out” the person's fire.
—EARTH SUFFOCATES AIR: Air can't flow or expand in a trapped space. Earth signs present air signs with boundaries and limits, which isolate the air sign and make it hard for them to breath and thrive.
—FIRE ELECTROCUTES WATER: We all know that fire and water don’t mix. The electricity of fire signs can be too hot and dangerous that it fries the gentle spirit of the water sign.
—AIR CRUMBLES THE EARTH: Air, while aloof and peaceful, can pose a threat to the earth through wind storms and tornadoes. Air signs can be so chaotic and unpredictable that they destroy everything the earth sign knows and has depended on their whole life.
