Fun Pressure Fact: In exactly 10 days as of the time this is being posted, Sebastian Solace will fake an anesthesia dosage during transport, breach containment, bitch slap fully trained operatives on a nice little vacation to the Banlands, and unwittingly set the stage for the events of the funni fish game we all know and love today.
Good luck, Mister Fishe.
(he has no idea that my lil expendable ass is about to manifest into existence for the sole purpose of doing this at least twice a day:
what flavor of mental illness makes me do this every time i see him? no idea. buuuuut at least it’s consistently entertaining…?)
I feel a little bad that I didn't give Shadow more time with Silver. But he'll come back soon! I promise we'll have more Dadow interactions. But I want to do more lore thingies, cause I love my lore thingies. This is absolutely turning into a sort of story and I am considering putting it on AO3 too. XD
Tell me if you all want this to be a tumblr exclusive "Easter egg" thing that's super special or if I should make it an official part of the AO3 series after I've started putting out chapter for the plot heavy sequel! Which might take, like... at least two months. Maybe.
Sonic universe setting: Movie universe
Background: Black arms invasion happened and Eclipse was included as a vanguard. Black arms were defeated but Eclipse was spared. He changed his form to look like a hedgehog and stays with Shadow as a hedgehog rather than a Darkling.
Time period: About 200 years after canon. (Around ten months after Shadow and Eclipse took Silver under their wing)
Part 1, Part 11, Part 13
Silver looked at the world outside as Eclipse drove the spaceship. They had teleported out of the asteroid belt then started to drive at a slower pace through another dangerous place in space to this "104" place. Wherever that was. It was Eclipse's treasure place cause no one could live there, cause the air was wrong. Or that's how Silver understood it at least.
But Silver would be ok. Cause he had Chaos energy and he had Eclipse! So it was double good.
"What's that?" Silver pointed to a swirling thing that they were slowly driving past.
"A gravitation field distortion." Eclipse answered, his tone a bit flat as he did.
"And what's that?"
"Another piece of wreckage..." Eclipse sighed and rubbed his forehead. "I'll just find you a book about space and you can read that. Stop asking about every little thing out there. It's getting annoying."
Silver looked back at the older hedgehog, then went over to sit in Eclipse's lap and leaned back against Eclipse's chest. Eclipse let out a soft grumble about Silver being clingy but then patted Silvers head. It made Silvers tail wag.
"Tell me something about Shadow! Why doesn't he wanna talk about certain things?"
Eclipse glanced down at Silver, then focused on the outside again, turning the spaceship to avoid the dangerous things. "A lot of different reasons. What have you asked him?"
"Why he has his shoes and rings. Why no one else has them and how Shadow is famous but not famous. Cause I've seen a performance about him! They didn't do a good job, they didn't act at all like Shadow. But he wouldn't let me say anything cause it was their interpretation of him." Silver gently kneaded against Eclipse's chest fur, feeling cosy.
"Oooh, one of those things. Heh, which one was it? The one where he saved a kingdom or the one with the meteor?" Eclipse grinned slightly when he asked this. And seeing Eclipse be happy made Silver happy too! It made his tail start to wag.
"Saving the kingdom! I don't think Shadow would kiss the princess before he left. He'd just tell them to live happy."
"Hah! That one is hilarious." Eclipse turned a sharp right, then went a little faster by adjusting a handle on the chair. "They make him seem so weak and attached to those idiot royals. That family is lucky Shadow is forgiving to others portrayal of him. He never claims the feats he does for himself and lets others create the story of how things happened. Those mortals love to dramatise everything. He prefers to be just a normal hedgehog and be a "hero" only when it's needed, not get recognised for what he's done."
Silver blinked and tilted his head slightly. "Are you one? A hero?"
Eclipse let out a short laugh and offered Silver a grin. "The opposite. While I do some things that help the universe, I only do that for myself." Eclipse let out a soft scoff and shook his head. "Shadow has all that power and only uses it for others... It's a waste."
Silver let out a soft hum as he nuzzled into Eclipse's chest. "I think it's nice. I'd like to be like that too, helping other people. Do I have to travel alone if I wanna be a hero too?"
"Of course not. You choose how you want to be, little thing." Eclipse lightly ruffled Silver's quills. "Just remember to be more selfish and don't dedicate all that you are to others. Then, you'll just end up forgetting what's important to you."
The increase in speed was sudden and Silver was pressed even harder against Eclipse's chest when the pressure pushed against him. It was hard to breathe-.
"Hey. Tap into your core." Eclipse's voice was firm as he tapped on Silver's chest. "Let it expand out. Let the chaos energy cover your chest and surround it. It will stay within your body."
Silver listened, an eye slowly opening to look at Eclipse. He then tried to focus, feeling his core like Eclipse said. Trying to make it expand like Eclipse said but it was hard to breathe and it felt like his energy was moving slow.
"I-I can't-..." Silver let out a soft whimper as he clutched onto his chest. It hurt... His chaos energy was so hard to move...!
"You can." Eclipse reached down to remove Silvers ankle rings one at a time, slow so Silver would feel it. "Do it. Let it expand and cover the inside of your chest."
Silver let out a soft whimper when he tried to focus again. It was easier to touch and move his energy, so he grabbed it and pushed it out-! Silver could breathe but he was floating, Eclipse was floating, it was too much and Silver tried to pull it in but it was too much-!
"Too much." Eclipse's energy crushed down Silver's, forcing it back in a way Silver couldn't and they dropped back down onto the chair. Silver took deep breaths of air, a hand on his chest because he could breathe.
"Control it yourself." Eclipse said with a huff and flicked Silvers ear. Silver straightened slightly in attention. "Don't let it go outside your body. Just cover your chest. I'm letting go in 3... 2... 1..."
Silver had pulled it all in and it felt like he was getting crushed again when Eclipse pulled back his energy. Silver let out a soft whimper as he let his chaos energy move slower, expanding out from his core, not towards his limbs but just over his chest.
He managed to take in a few breaths, but then it collapsed again. Eclipse let out a soft huff and he helped Silver breathe again.
"You can do it. You just need to picture it clearly. What's something you've seen that expands but doesn't get destroyed when it does?"
Silver frowned as he tried to think of something. Something that grew larger without exploding... He perked up as he smiled at Eclipse. "A frog croak!"
The older hedgehog looked at him with a small grin. "Right. Then imagine your core is like a frog's throat. Let it expand with that croaking sound, just how their throat gets larger when they do. Then hold it there. So again."
They did this for a while, Silver trying to expand his chaos energy inside his chest and Eclipse guiding him through it. It was easier to do too much without his ankle rings but he eventually did it after a few tries. And he managed to hold it even after the ankle rings were put back on! Silver could breathe normally even when they were going super fast.
"Good." Eclipse lightly ruffled the top of Silvers head. "I told you you could do it."
"You did! Thank you, Eclipse!" Silver's tail was wagging fast as he hugged the older hedgehog around his neck, still keeping the energy croak in his chest.
"Remember what this feels like. You'll need to do it on 104 too." Eclipse lightly patted Silvers back as he stood up. He flipped a few buttons on the roof. "It'll be a while so lets go down."
Silver continued to keep his chaos energy around his chest as they practiced reading some more, ate food and Silver even managed to convince Eclipse to play some games with him! Eclipse wasn't good at pretend games, but he was really good at reaction and clap games Silver knew. Eclipse mentioned that they could get some card games or other things Brutus and his group played later. Cause Eclipse mostly spent his time waiting listening to music and being in a 'trance' when he was alone so he didn't have much.
Silver also got Eclipse to read a book for him too. That was cosy. He fell asleep to hearing Eclipse's voice and cuddled up against soft warm fur. He really liked sleeping with Eclipse, that was the cosiest place to sleep.
The outside of planet 104 was covered in something pink. Eclipse called it chaos powder fumes and that it was super dangerous to breathe in for those who weren't chaos users. And even if they could use chaos energy, it was still dangerous to be inside it for too long. It's what made 104 super good for having Eclipse's treasures.
The spaceship started to hum loudly when they flew down towards the planet and that orange shimmer appeared around the ship again. Silver stood right up against the window to see and the planet itself was.... sad. There were no lakes. No forests. Not even a large city. It was just rock, large holes and patches of glittering pink over the planet surface.
Eclipse made the ship stop in front of a mountain when he pulled up some kind of tube from the floor to speak into.
"Stone. I'm home."
As if those words were magic, the whole mountain opened and showed a path inside. Eclipse flew inside and when the path closed behind them, the path was lit up with lights. They flew through it for a long time before they ended up in a similar hangar space that Eclipse had on his island. Silvers ears twitched when a new unfamiliar voice came from the speakers in Eclipse's ship while Eclipse pushed some buttons and sliders.
"Welcome back, Eclipse. You have been away for 187 days. Status: Exterior Normal. Interior Normal. The Doom Readings has increased by 26% since your last visit. Power grid: Low. The solar panels are offline and the chaos drives has been reduced to 3."
"Again, stupid solar panels..." Eclipse let out a soft huff and the noise from the spaceship slowly started to dim. "Expand your chaos energy over your chest, little thing. The hangar is still dangerous. It's only safe for you in the central room."
Silver nodded and closed his eyes to focus. A frog's croak... A chaos croak aaaaall over his chest. He then held up his arms with a grin when he did it and Eclipse patted his head in silent praise.
"What was that voice?" Silver followed Eclipse to the elevator, his tail wagging happily from the earlier praise.
"My AI. It's to keep guard over this place. It sends me updates if I need to come here to do something special." Eclipse led the way to the front of the ship, glanced back to Silver briefly before he lowered the wall into being a walk path.
Silver flinched and his fur stood on end, because the air felt... wrong. He quickly shuffled closer to Eclipse to hold his hand and double checked that his chaos croak was croaked. Breathing felt.. weird. Like he was breathing in sand cause it made his nose itch and throat tingle but there wasn't any physical sand that he breathed in.
Silver tried to breathe as little as possible as Eclipse led him down the walkway.
"Hey! Scrappers! Treasure!" Eclipse called out to the empty hangar and he received a beeping sound in return. A wall opened and out came a large box shaped robot with noodle arms. Silver stared at it with wide eyes, it was tall like two Eclipse's!
"Position 1, 2, 3 and 4." Eclipse said to the robot as he gestured to his ship. "Take them to the central room."
The robot let out a soft high pitched sound and the wheels on it helped it move up the ship ramp. Eclipse then pulled Silver away from the ship and towards another door.
"You have a robot?" It was a little harder for Silver to talk with this grain air and he let out a soft cough at the grainy feeling. It wasn't comfortable at all.
"Its for convenience." Eclipse bent down to pick up Silver and it was a lot easier for him to breathe now. He gently nuzzled into Eclipse's shoulder as a silent thank you.
"It was huge! Do you have a lot of robots here?"
"Two. Scrappers and Tidy. Didn't bother to make any more." Eclipse stopped in front of a door and placed his hand against a black rectangle. The door opened after he did that and they stepped into a small room. And it started to blow air hard against Silver and Eclipse when the door closed.
"What's happening?" He tried to see where the air was blowing from, his eyes squinting from the hard air.
"It's a pressure chamber. Well, pressure and cleanse. I don't want the chaos tainted air to damage my treasures." Eclipse shrugged slightly, not bothered at all by the hard blowing air. "Hey, Stone. Do we have any mortal food left?"
That strange voice piped up again, now from the speakers in the room. "The expiration date for most foods in the facility has passed except those that are vacuum sealed and canned food."
"Mark those that are expired for Tidy to clean up. Then bring it to the hangar. I'll toss them out later." The other door opened after Eclipse had said this. And he was still carrying Silver as he walked through it. "Make Tidy take out some beans and jerky or whatever they're called. I have clean water in the storage position 12, have Tidy bring a gallon so I can make some food with it."
Silver was too focused on the room they stepped into to focus on anything else Eclipse was saying. Because this room was huuuuge.
It had a super tall roof, almost tall enough to be a sky! It was round and was yellow so it wasn't the sky but it was still super tall! There were no stairs but there were tooooons of broad balconies you could walk on all around the room but still open in the middle. Silver had no idea what was up there, but the furniture Eclipse had here at the bottom floor was similar to Eclipse's living space on the ship! Just a lot more cushy looking things, a LOT more books and a larger kitchen space.
Silvers tail wagged as he started to imagine what kind of treasures Eclipse had here. Did he have magic swords? Super cool robots? Jewels and clothes? Or maybe some food that's super difficult to get! Silver wanted to see all of them!
"Heh. You'd be insane to not be impressed by it." Eclipse told Silver with a grin as he settled his free hand on his hip. "It took me 10 years of trips back and forth to make all of this. But now I finally have a place where my treasures won't get broken or blown up by stupid mortals."
"It's so cool!" Silver tugged on Eclipse's fur in excitement. "Can I see it? Please, please, please?"
"Not yet, little thing." Eclipse threw Silver through the air and he landed on something soft. He let out a happy giggle and struggled to get out of the soft pile of things he landed in. "When you can fly up on your own. That's when you can see them."
"Fly? I can fly?" Silver managed to escape the soft things and looked at Eclipse with wide eyes. "When can I fly? I wanna fly!"
"You have already flown, you just can't control it yet." Eclipse lightly flicked Silver on his ear. "You have to learn how to control an outside objects flight trajectory before you can control your own. You'll get there. I'll make sure of it."
Silver got super excited at the thought of being able to fly. Not even Eclipse could fly and he was super good with his energy! Shadow could fly with his shoes, but if Silver could fly he'd be able to do something Eclipse couldn't! And maybe he'd be faster than Shadow!
"I'll work super hard!" Silver managed to wiggle out of the pile of soft things and landed on the floor. But he quickly got back up again to follow Eclipse. "Can we practice now? I wanna practice!"
"You will, after you've gotten your daily food." Eclipse paused and frowned slightly. "Was it one or two...? Eh, one is easier to remember"
Silver didn't know what Eclipse was talking about, but he was happy to sit on the counter and watch Eclipse make some food. He was used to watching Shadow use a fire to make food so it was new and interesting to see Eclipse use a kitchen! There was also a small flying robot that helped Eclipse this time, one that had 4 thin arms that it used to carry food ingredients. That was tidy! And Scrappers also dropped off 4 boxes into the central room while Eclipse was making food.
Eclipse's food had more taste this time and Silver thanked the older hedgehog for the meal like always. Because it was the polite and good thing to do.
He really hoped he could learn how to fly soon, cause he really wanted to see what type of other treasures Eclipse had. And he was very happy that he was one of Eclipse's treasures too.
(First non-shitpost...well, less shitposty audio post. Explains where Henry is and what he’s up to in the main verse. Transcript under the cut.)
“To whom it may concern: I am Doctor Henry Miller. Please disregard the music box in the background. My promise to always come back has hit an unexpected complication. Shortly after exploding, I found myself in the security office of a Freddy’s location unlike any other. In short, it is a realm of endless animatronic death inhabited by, unfortunately, William Afton.
The good news is that this proves my conjecture of alternate timelines entirely correct. The bad news is that a soul must possess immense amounts of regret, which I lack, to travel between timelines intentionally. Moreover, this version of William Afton, in defiance of all reason, has somehow caused even more problems than my own.
The vengeful spirits of children in this universe are also far more competent. One of them, slain of course by this other William, torments him with endless night shifts that most often end in gruesome deaths at the hands, teeth, claws, and assorted weaponry of various animatronics. The loud noises resulting from his repeated, gruesome deaths cut into my recording time significantly. Until I can create a means of egress, I shall observe Other William. End recording.”

Does your Tav have any childhood friends?
Sadly due to her strict to the extreme parents she wasn't allowed to socialize with anyone outside the family. She's never even seen the person who's she's been set up with for an arranged marriage yet. (No surprise that she wants to get out of her suffocating, controlling af household)

Oleander has wild magic which caused her family to think their manor was haunted by poltergeists for the first six years of her life (broken furniture, lights suddenly going out, floating objects, etc). So to suppress her powers her father ordered a pendant be made with anti magic properties and she was forced to wear it all the time.
During her last escape/abduction by nautiloid ship the pendant was damaged, which weakened It's effect enough that Oleander could finally utilize her ability to cast spells.
