Gritty dystopian worlds that could almost become reality are terrifying, but I love them.
I could probably get some muscles if I tried, but it seemed like it would take forever - almost like, to get some sort of physique, you already had to have a good physique.
“The Lost Code” by Kevin Emerson
The Lost Code, pt 2
Uggghhhh I have to go find The Atlanteans #2 now. Good grief, tell me it's only 3 books long and not an incomplete series. I'll read three, but I've always hated long book series.
(I even began tiring of Harry Potter by book 5)
Anyway, The Lost Code (The Atlanteans #1) was good. I was right about many things. I don't like how certain plot points ended or what happened to specific characters. I think we'll see many of the side characters pop up later in the series. I foresee lots of good things, but a lot more me being paranoid of the world whenever I lift my eyes from the pages again.
I swear, I'm waiting for Owen to sprout wings to make up for the gills. I was wrong about Lilly and I'm sooo glad of it. I really like Luk and I'm curious about the siren. Me thinks she's related to Owen somehow, recently or across time.
I think it'd make a good movie.
The Lost Code
I sort of hate this book. I read it and I start feeling paranoid because everyone is lying and someone is always watching and no one explains the shit that really needs to be explained, though it seems like they do until later. It's a giant labyrinth where we're a mouse.
But I thought I knew who was trustworthy and who wasn't, and now I'm not so sure. I mean, the main baddie still seems like the main baddie, but the people I thought Owen could trust are now in question and there are people I didn't think good that I now foresee being the best allies.
But I suppose this back and forth question game is the whole point, so I should just sit back and enjoy the ride. Can't believe I'm only 63% of the way through.
So I'm reading this book called the Lost Code by Kevin Emerson (my favorite author in the history of EVER) and I totally guessed that the doctor was actually a good person. And now I feel really bad for her, cause she was forced to pretty much kill a few kids and I think that's what pushed her to join the Nomad Alliance and try taking down the person running all this.
And she was about to cry when she saw that the Nomads had been killed and it's just like she's blaming herself for another death, another death that she caused.
