Some good book series I forgot (or almost forgot) about but really enjoyed and would like to share(possibly read again in the near future):
The Morganville Vampire series by Rachel Caine
Cirque Du Freak series by Darren Shan
Pendragon series by D.J. MacHale
Shadow Falls by C.C. Hunter (not my favorite but it appealed to my inner teen lol)
Life After series by Julie Hall
Dirty Blood series by Heather Hildenbrand
The Testing Trilogy by Joelle Charbonneau
The Tide series by Anthony J. Melchiorri
The Extinction Cycle by Nicholas Sansbury Smith
The Extinction Cycle: Dark Age series by Nicholas Sansbury Smith and Anthony J Melciorri
The Deadland Saga by Rachel Aukes
The Zulu Chronicles by Steven Konkoly
The Scattered and the Dead series by Tim McBain and L.T. Vargus
Slow Burn series by Bobby Adair
Vampires are in red and zombie or zombie like creatures are in purple :)
In honor of turning this random blog into a book one, here are some of my fav/comfort books:
Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo - heists. Found family. Just add my voice to the many saying read this book
How to Hang a Witch by Adriana Mather - witches and magic. Sexy ghost. I normally don’t gravitate toward historical fiction, but this mystery is abt the descendants of the Salem Witch Trials and it was rlly good
The Last Magician by Lisa Maxwell - 1900s New York. Magic! Found family. Heist. Multiple POV. I still haven’t read the next two books in the series but I loved the first.
The Testing by Joelle Charbonneau - dystopian. Trials. Some romance. There was a Third World War that destroyed the earth’s resources, so ppl live in colonies trying to bring new life back. Smart students are chosen for the testing to see if they deserve a chance to go to the university (next level of education that will train them how to give back to community best)
When by Victoria Laurie - stand alone mystery. Maddie can see death dates and is blamed for murder. I often rec this book to new readers bc it’s not a series and it’s a rlly fun quick mystery.
I have so many others but this is good for now. Welcome to the blog! :D be safe, be happy. Wish u all the best of reading <33
James 1:3 (NIV) - because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.
Tag Thursday!
Today’s tag is: The Zombie Apocalypse Tag!
Rules:
1) Pick any five books randomly (or not randomly, your choice)
2) The first name you see when you flip open the book on a random page, will be the person who is the answer to the question.
3) Each of the books must answer two questions.
The books I pick:
1. Divergent
2. Cinder
3. The Maze Runner
4. The Selection
5. The Testing
Questions:
The first person to die. (Divergent)
Molly.
I don’t exactly care about this one because we didn’t see much of Molly in the books and when we did, she was a giant jerk.
2. The person you trip to get away from the zombies. (Cinder)
Cinder (or as she was called, Miss Linh)
Cinder!!! No, no, NO! I’m sorry my baby. You were supposed to be the brains of the team!!!! Is there an Uno reverse button? Please? No? I’ll go tell Kai I’m sorry then...😭
3. The first person to turn into a zombie. (The Maze Runner)
Newt.
I’m just gonna go and...*cries in corner* He’s already been through so much! We needed him to be the leader! My team is falling apart. 😭
4. The first person that trips YOU to get away from the zombies. (The Selection)
Maxon
*sets phone down* When I read that again, I better not see what I thought I just saw. Are we sure this is actually Maxon? My precious baby would never do this to anyone. Come on, he literally (SPOILERS) (tried) sacrificing himself for America.
5. The idiot of the team. (The Testing)
Dr. Barnes
*claps* Yes, finally something correct. The team can do without him.
6. The “brains” of the team. (Divergent)
Four
Okay, now we’re getting somewhere. Maybe I actually stand a chance. Thank you, Four. Please save my sorry excuse of a team. Please. Maybe nobody has to attend my funeral today.
7. The Team’s Medic (Cinder)
Kai
Honestly, maybe Kai can be the medic. Although he literally has no skills in medicine. He’s careful though, and could maybe treat a zombie infection? Maybe? (And I’m sorry for murdering Cinder)
8. The weapon’s expert. (The Maze Runner)
Thomas
Are we going with glade Thomas or other Thomas because if its glade Thomas, then we’re kinda dead, but if it’s other Thomas, then we’re kinda fine. Just learn how to wield a gun or hold a knife and you’ll be fine.
9. The bawler (The selection)
Marlee
I’m not surprised. You didn’t do much in the Selection except be a somewhat okay friend to America. And then you (SPOILERS) went and married Carter Woodwork. Again, not surprised.
10. The Team’s Captain (The Testing)
Tomas
Okay, okay, this one is kinda good. Although I still kinda hate Tomas for what he did in the third test. (*cough, cough* death *cough, cough*) He would make a pretty good leader though, especially considering the rest of my team kinda sucks.
So, in conclusion, I would probably die in the middle of a zombie apocalypse. Anyone want to come to my funeral?
TOP FIVE MIDDLE SCHOOL LEVEL BOOK SERIES GO
Oh hell yeah
The Naturals, no doubt about that WHATSOEVER
The Testing, only in second bc the naturals has a cannon sapphic romance
The illuminae files, I've only ever read the first two, but HOLY SHIT they're SO cool
Harry Potter, because I couldn't Not include it
Rangers Apprentice, these were my SHIT in 5th/6th grade
The size of Cia’s home colony is quickly hammered home by the description of the graduating class: eight boys, six girls, and it’s the largest they’ve ever had. Literally everyone in the colony is related to one graduate or another.
Five Lakes is I believe the newest colony, so it’s still kind of filling itself out, but it’s also tiny.
Also I like that it’s near-ish to me -- I don’t know exactly where among the Great Lakes it is, but I can imagine it wherever I please.
