(Hello!:D)
[...he's looking. He's checking it out. Curious. They won't walk across it just yet.]
Someone can be heard singing Daisy Bell nearby!
[His eyes behind his goggles snapped onto the direction where the singing is coming from, their hand gripping tightly onto their shovel.
What? Why? Why is the song that a computer first ever sang is playing? What the fuck? Why here out of all places? Bad. Bad bad bad—]
Yes, ve have, but none of ze others are here. I'm honestly.. I don't quite know how I got here, really. As far as I can tell, I tripped through ze floor.
(By the by, would you rather I reblog or continue using the ask function?)
“...fuck.„
[They muttered under their breath. Their head is still scrambled, no doubt about it, but they think they won't start crying out of nowhere so that's. That's good. Breath in. Breath out. He let himself sit on the floor. Fuckin' hell why.]
Brian heard it.
"Oh, bummer. That's alright...."
He looked at Engineer for a while before just nodding.
"Wanna hear a... Weird, funny story how I got here?"
It was not funny anymore.
[...]
[Silence answered you for awhile. Staring blankly at the Game over screen for longer then he wished, slowly pulling it away from himself.]
“...if ya wish, sure.„
[They weren't facing him.]
You walk towards the source of the bell noises. It seems to be... A girl? The sight of her messes with your brain and confuses your sense of sight; you can't explain what she looks like, other than she is probably humanoid and female. Small? seems to have black hair, but it could honestly be perceived as someone as dissimilar as white or bright purple. She just.... looks like something that is constantly changing and indescribable. As said before, her appearance is indecipherable.
The bell noise seems to have come from a weird garter on her leg? You can't exactly tell.
Her sense of hearing seems to be optimal, she was quick to turn and face the engineer.
It seemed that she waved at him, or at least gestured hello towards him.
How will you respond?
[Continuation, please make this into a thread if you can.]
[Lord mighty what did he walk into?
His head hurts just looking at the figure, shutting his eyes for a long moment before opening them again. The headache didn't go away. Fuck.
The hand holding the Pistol tighten itself around it a bit, holding back a groan of pain from the now dull ache in his head. Fuck, fuck fuck.
They noticed her(?) wave at them, and as much as they would like to respond, their inability to comprehend her says otherwise. He only managed a nod at her before turning away and basically slamming himself against a wall, keeping his eyes shut.
...what.]
... Alright. Time to lighten up the mood.
"So... What do you do for a living, Engie?
Hope you don't mind me talking about that game again, 'cause-
The guy that looked like you? He's an Engineer too. A. Deadly. Battle Engineer-
I've always thought that was cool, honestly. And just letting the machines do the killing while you sit back and relax?
Sounds like a dream job." He half-jokingly states.
"Ah... Sorry, uhm. What do you do for a living?"
[The Engineer is fidgeting with the Gameboy. Lightly pressing the upper arrow out of curiosity. He's still listening don't worry. He just needed to keep his hands busy.
He stopped for a moment as Brian started talking about the game, about character that he seems to remind him of. He slowly turned to look at the Zombie. Although you can't see it, his eyes are wide.
He doesn't like how that sounds so much like him. He doesn't like it.]
“...ah...ah'm an Engineer.„
[He answered, turning away.]
“...ah solve practical problems.„
[They stare at the Gameboy.
He wasn't about to tell him that he's a Mercenary.]
Can we have Engineer having a nightmare?
The air feels light and the smell of something cooking filled the whole house. None of us mind it. It smells good. My Grandpa looked up from his project and smiled, before turning to me, standing on top of my chair. I was watching my Papa work. It's interesting. I like it.
⠀
“Hrm. Looks like Fred finally finished cooking.„
⠀
I giggled, hoping off and rushing over to the door, waving my papa over.
⠀
“C'mon c'mon c'mon!!„
⠀
I heard him chuckle. It's nice, hearing it. He doesn't do that a lot. I wish he would.
I'm excited. Really excited.
The smell turned into burning.
I came to a sudden stop. Why am I taller? Was something burning? It's coming from the kitchen. Did dad burn the food? I hope not!
It's...The kitchen is burning. Dad is standing in the middle of it, his back towards me. Why isn't he doing anything? Why can't I move?
The floor creaked underneath me. I fell.
⠀
And the Engineer woke up with a gasp.]
She nodded. She gave him a hefty, warm hug before letting him go with a pat on the back.
"Nice meetin' ya, Engie. Cool guy. I'll see you around."
As she turned around, she glanced back at him.
"Oh, and uh... Tell Oz I said... Hi."
She doesn't want to say she missed them. She won't admit it.
She then heard what it could be laughter =).
She sets her hands on fire and runs off with a growl, out of sight.
The laughter stopped. Only her footsteps fading away in the distance remained for a minute.
(Eyy, that was fun~)
[He made a small squeak noise at the hug, though didn't fight against it. Blinking a little. Ah. Touch. Great. Nice.
They managed a small grin and tipped their Hardhat at Amira (hopefully I spelled it right), giving her a nod.]
“Ah will.„
[They blinked a little at the Laughter and watched her run off. Waiting till there's only the sound of buzzing lights above him. Okkay. He should leave now. And so he did.]
