Merchandise Mart, built in 1930 in the art deco style, is one of the largest commercial buildings in the world
Chicago One of a Kind Show Starts Friday, April 26th
Starting today at 11 am, the Merchandise Mart, now known simply as The Mart, in downtown Chicago is hosting the Spring One of the Kind Show. It features everything from soaps for your bath to art for your walls, and as you can see, lots of interesting fashion. Simply pulling from the A’s, I offer up here a picture of Advika Clothing whose motto is “Simple, serene, and sustainable” and who offers up a comfy knit dress, then Akese Stylelines whose tagline is “Classy, sassy, authentic African fashion” with a dramatic bright pink dress, and finally Anikka Becker who offers up fine linen and cotton dresses like this floral print with a wide skirt. Imagine what happens, when you get down to the Z’s. There is also a great deal of jewelry, bags, and other accessories. I have been to their winter show and wish I could go to this one.
