so I don't have all the Tower of Babel stuff plotted yet (and am likely to pantser at least some of it)

but I do know that near the end (probably not quiiiiiiiite the end) there is this exchange

So, it looks like I'm doing this? I'm not sure I should be doing this, but I guess I'm doing this.

The opening chapter of The Miracle is live. Quoting its end note:

Look, that so-called finale was just not it. You're welcome to like it if you like, but you can't — cannot — make me like genocide and annihilation. No shade on the cast or crew; the no-prize lands squarely in the laps of the writers. I can't fix anything about it. I can't fix the fandom falling apart over it. I also can't possibly make everyone's dreams for the end of Good Omens come true — not least because the fandom's dreams are as contradictory as the nearest Eric. I don't know what I can do, honestly... except "better than whatever the fuck that was." Low bar, don't you know. This will update as I have time to outline and write it. I know what the three scenes after this are; after that, we'll just have to see. I won't be bothered in the least if you wait to read until I'm finished. If you see anything in it that you'd like to rewrite, riff off, expand, illustrate, or otherwise play with, please feel free. I'd love a link, but that's up to you.
