My name is Flynn and my girlfriend is Cameron, we're two 18 year old teenagers who desperately need to move out of a toxic household. I'm transgender and both of us have extreme debilitating mental illnesses which prevents us from being able to cope with the pressure society puts upon us. We're finding it very hard to get jobs, and even harder to find a place to move within our (nonexistent) budget. Since we live in such a small town there are no work places here, and especially not for me since I experience extreme prejudice based on my gender. We're both currently living with Cameron's parents who have started behaving really toxic toward us and invalidating our mental illnesses and providing no help whatsoever. They constantly put pressure on both of us to get jobs and do things that we aren't comfortable and incapable of doing. They force us to visit extended family that we are uncomfortable around, me especially since they're homophobic and transphobic. They are even threatening to not take me to my doctor and psychologist in the city - which is an hour drive away with no other transport to get there - because I haven't "been doing enough housework" which is hard for me to do because of my mental illness. Moving in with my parent isn't an option because my mother lives in a different state and she has mental illnesses herself which means she cannot work and cannot support us. We really need to escape. I've been confined to my room for the past few weeks because I've been too anxious and too depressed, and Cameron is barely coping herself. I am having constant arguments with her parents, trying to get them to see what they are doing to her and to me, but they just scream at us and expect us to cope. Our financial situation is tough. We need support, because we need to leave this harmful environment immediately. Each week our illnesses just get worse, making it harder to do things to actually leave. Please donate what you can.
