NOW WHO EXACTLY ARE THESE CLOWNS?

blue beetle II, aka theodore "ted" kord, was created by steve ditko and first appeared as a backup feature in 1966 in charlton comics' captain atom series. he later got his own short-lived solo, before the charlton heroes were acquired by DC in the mid-80s and integrated into the DC universe via the crisis on infinite earths crossover event. ted had a solo run in the 80s, but is perhaps best known for being a central and founding member of the justice league international, where he met his lifelong best friend booster gold.

booster gold, aka michael jon carter, was created by dan jurgens and first appeared in his 1986 solo series as the first new major character introduced to the post-crisis DC universe. booster soon joined the justice league international, and has since had two really good solos and featured prominently in 52. he's most well known as the fame-hungry time-travelling hero with a heart of gold, as well as the blue beetle's best friend.

together, they're known for being fun-loving heroes, the personification of the 'bwa-ha-ha' era of the justice league, and one of the best friendships in the DC universe.

i've compiled a catalogue of every single comic appearance of both of these characters, as well as highlighting what i consider 'essential' blue & gold reading. each issue is also marked with whether they're both in it, whether/to what degree they interact, content warnings, and my own personal notes (some of which might even be useful to people other than me).

Complete subject change, it’s really astonishing to see it in data as opposed to experience form how much harder the same things are on my me when i’ve had a strenuous day and how it snowballs if i don’t take what to me is extreme action. On monday i overdid it (even though i stayed around my pacepoints (data slightly skewed due to i take my band off to shower because i don’t like wearing stuff that gets wet but i know that also uses a significant chunk of energy that doesn’t get logged)), i still overdid it within that? Like strenuous activity *even though* i came in ‘safe’ at the end of the day tally)

and yesterday stuff that was registering exertion zone that would normally be under. Came in at like 150+% points even though i think i took it relatively easy? (Can’t remember except that i was having an autism moment for most of the day. Likely related to the physical strain i was dealing with) and then thats carried over today again things i can do regular style coming in as exertion style like my hr is just sooo high standing up. The symptoms syndromes.

And all i did today activity wise (with exception of cutting up cardboard boxes which i did despite knowing i was body exhaustion because i was also so scrambled from the various factors and i needed something to clear my head lest i become the agonised scroller <- trapped in inertia due to scale of discomfort and fatigue) was prep/cleanup from meals, my regular stretches, organised a package (maybe an hour or so stretched out across breaks). And i’m gonna come in over today as well despite spending soooooo much time slug mode. I don’t know if its even possible for me to have come in on target today without literally bedresting myself, but if i don’t do my stretches then it ramps up my pain bc of the hypermobility and thats a downward spiral too. Gotta do that twice a day unless i literally can’t stand! I guess i could have done other meals (like reheating from ones I’ve frozen) but i already defrosted my ingredients last night…..

Idk what the point of this post is. I guess an ad for visible because it would be easy to overlook the continued physiological strain thinking i’d taken it easy enough to be recovered now. :P Which of course is the insidious snowball. Tomorrow once again chill day. Rip to any housework i would have done this week <3
