Build your Phrontistery Lore
How did you find the Phrontistery?
Did Selúne personally pick you and guide you to the Phrontistery? Perhaps while you were on the verge of a mental breakdown?
Did you get a letter from the Phrontistery delivered to you saying they noticed you weren't doing well mentally and inviting you to stay until you were better? Was that letter delivered by wind or bird? If bird, was it a corvid, owl, eagle/hawk/falcon, or a plain old pigeon? (Don't tell the pigeons we called them plain and old and certainly don't underestimate them!)
Or did you stumble upon the Phrontistery seemingly by accident and feel beckoned to come inside? (We don't believe in these kinds of accidents.)
Regardless of how you got here, we are happy to have you and wish you a mentally well day.
Warmest Regards,

Lost Words: A-E
This is one of the sites I browse when I want to calm my paranoia and obsessive thoughts. It's a multitude of lists of antiquated, hyperspecific, complex, or rarely-used words of the English language, along with their meanings. Some lists are alphabetical, others by topic. I also use it for name inspiration in my writing :)

This is one of my favorite places on the web! It has made me aware of such English words as agonarch (not a Gondorian statue), echinate, and necyomancy.
I highly recommend it to anyone interested in words.
From the Phrontistery: Annomination
Annomination, n: a pun; play on words
For example:
I put in annomination to crown this the most fantastic word of the English language, but was instead beaten to a bloody pulp by the judges.
And yet annominate this, despite my aforementioned experience, as a contender for the best word ever.
Let me share with you a thing, Nanoers
The Phrontistery is a website dedicated to linguistics, and specifically rare or unusual words.
What does this have to do with Nano? Well, ghost your mouse over that little "glossaries" tab and check out all the links that come up. Need to learn a little ship lingo for that pirate chapter? They have an entire page of nautical terms. Need to describe those latest mooks your MC ran into? Maybe they're clavigerous. I based an entire magic system on their causation and formation page.
Check it out.
rogitate (v., 1656 -1658)
to ask frequently
"'Are we there yet?', the kids rogitated, apparently unaware of their parents' frustration."
