why are feelings confusing

#I’m clearly feeling.... SOMETHING #I am definitely feeling something different to what I felt before #but it doesn’t feel like a crush or the danger territory of developing/being at risk of developing a crush #it feels squish-ish?? but also doesn’t feel like the squish I’ve had before #but my feelings do sort of feel in the vein of ‘I want to be very close to you. I want you to think I’m funny and good to talk to.#i want to be physically affectionate with you. I want to tease you. etc etc’#so maybe it is a squish???#it’s all a moot point anyway cause I’m never gunna come clean about all this esp bc they have a gf #like even if it’s not romantic I just think that sort of thing is hard to explain to the person themselves let alone their partner #anyway guess I better tag this in case it becomes a thing like the k*d #the raincloud #(until I think of something better/else I guess)

unfortunately, just as being on tumblr circa 2010 has baked certain linguistic quirks into my speech, i have accidentally trained certain habits and thought processes into my brain that stubbornly remain entrenched, despite the fact that i am (and appear to genuinely be) out of the squish cycle

#the raincloud #the way they offered to pay for my (cheap) drink and then when i protested #they calmly walked around me to pay before i had a chance to pull out my card #the way i messaged to ask if they were too busy for a chat cause their door was closed and they were like 'nah i'm free'#and then they opened their door to let me in just as i walked up 🥺🥺#they live in my head rent-free #despite the fact that they are literally normal things!!
