The Repossessor by Dave Gilbert
The 2001 freeware debut of Dave Gilbert, founder of Wadjet Eye Games. This game makes numerous references to the convoluted mythos of Reality-On-The-Norm, a shared universe of almost 100 games by numerous authors, mostly made in AGS. If you're interested in the series, this entry isn't a bad place to start, and provides a good idea of what lies ahead.
The version seen above was just released, having been graphically overhauled and retooled to run on modern systems by Dylan Downing.
