“I had no choice...”
The Roo by Alan Baxter
Something is wrong in the small outback town of Morgan Creek. A farmer goes missing after a blue in the pub. A teenage couple fail to show up for work. When Patrick and Sheila McDonough investigate, they discover the missing persons list is growing. Before they realise what’s happening, the residents of the remote town find themselves in a fight for their lives against a foe they would never have suspected. And the dry red earth will run with blood.
Content warning: domestic violence, gore, animal abuse Yes, I read the kangaroo horror novella. Yes, I loved it. The Roo is similar to those campy, made-for-TV horror movies you'd find on TV at weird hours of the day. The kills are fun and cinematic. The characters are quirky. The plot takes crazy twists. Despite being quite campy, The Roo does have some serious moments. It tackles issues like domestic violence and how a small community of people need to look out for each other. Do you like campy, gore-filled horror movies? If you do, you'll probably enjoy The Roo.

68. Twitter or Tumblr?
I don't even have a Twatter. Tumblr all the way!
109. Is something irritating you right now?
I'm making plans with friends or rather trying. basically no one is getting back to me in a timely fashion (which is reasonable for some because I know they're at work) and then for others it's like I know today is one of your days off and you're doing jackshit nothing. and then some of the ones who are responding seem to be incapable of actually responding with the required information like where in the fuck we're meeting and when
119. Favourite book?
The Roo by Alan Baxter
it's a horror book set in Australia. it's hilarious and cheesy and i've made a drinking game to it and I just need to convince my friends to get drunk to it with me
122. Is cheating ever okay?
Yes. Here's why: abusive relationship you can't get out of without aide so you start dating someone on the sly and then move out to their place and away from your abuser.
But like that's it.
I mean besides in a piece of fiction then like go for it. It's fiction.
