Because this man came from the south. What is the south famous for? COMFORT FOOD. Sure, he's no Michelin chef but of my god can he make the best fried chicken and mashed potatoes. Like he's got his own fry recipe and mashes the potatoes by hand
And his apple pie is to DIE FOR. And that's not because it has toxin in it! (it doesn't, at least if he's baking it for someone he likes)
He's also amazing as breakfast foods, best french toast you can imagine with real fruit compote and hand made whipped cream. Eggs cooked perfectly every time. Toast with lots of butter and jam.
