“My Life 3 : The Soliloquy“ by Kemet Dank
Kemet Dank is the internet rap OG that deserves his own page in the underground history books. He was right there alongside legends from Metro Zu, Goth Money, and early Gothboiclique as they were writing the rule books for the Soundcloud wave that’s running shit right now. Ugly God was in this mans YouTube comment section begging for a collab before he blew up. The Dank God is a forefather to a lot of this shit, and that’s something we can’t let people forget.
- Clever Tom
I’ve never watched a single full episode of The Voice before, though I may have tuned in for a few brief minutes in passing. So, prior to The Soliloquy, I had no idea who Noah Mac was. Turns out, he’s not only a season 13 alum, but a much beloved semi-finalist with an incredible... you guessed it, voice! A soliloquy, as I learned when I had to memorize lines from Hamlet back in high school, is a solo speech or sermon that reveals one’s own inner thoughts, particularly while in a play. As the saying goes, “all the world’s a stage, and we are merely players”, but in this case, we are all captivated spectators and listeners as California singer songwriter Noah Mac fully commands the stage with his soulful voice and a ghostly clattering, gospel inflected, and electro-charged brew of soul, pop, and rock on The Soliloquy. The single is available from iTunes, here.
ITS OUT NOW!!!!
I'm dead everyone.
Yesterday I went to the theatre to see “Hamlet in Jerusalem - Pastenian kids want to see the sea.”
It was great, very emotional.
One of the actor declaimed the soliloquy. In Arabic.
Till now, I’ve listened to it in English, Italian, Croatian and Arabic.
It’s always magnificent.
