#the spectrum between like..#chosen behavior <--> compulsions <--> involuntary movements#is so weird#sometimes I don't know the line between like compulsive and involuntary when it comes to my vocal tics#like sometimes there's a sense that I can feel it happening and sort of stop it as it's just beginning (similar to a sneeze)#or like do something to influence how it comes out (I guess the sneeze parallel is when you hold up the crook of your elbow#and the sneeze sometimes becomes less loud or less of a full-body kind of thing y'know?)#and sometimes I can't stop it to the point where I seriously consider taping my mouth shut cause idk how else to stop
