when marina said “oh, don't you find it strange? only thing we share is one last name, did I beat you at your own game? typical of me to put us all to shame//oh, you think I'm unfit, little did you know that I was cut for it” and when sohodolls said “daddy says I'm good for nothing, mama says that it's from him, manic sister thinks I'm cracking, brother says it's in my genes//don't you want to be the one?” and when the strokers said “they've been sayin': you're sophisticated//but then it don't make sense when you're tryin' hard to do the right thing but without recompense” and when leanna firestone said “and I don't wanna be my mom's least favorite only child anymore” and when rex orange county said “what about me?” and when missio said “I'm uncontrollable, emotional, chaotically proportional, I'm visceral, reloadable, I'm crazy”, yeah I definitely felt that
ok but ode to the mets by the strokes is really the best song ever made me thinks

Oh Mercy: Someday (The Strokes Cover)
You might not recognize this tune at first (at least I didn't), but it's an acoustic version of the song "Someday" off The Strokes debut album. I like it because Oh Mercy has re-imagined the song completely, and it works as well in either interpretation.
