Itās been soo long since the last time I published something. I canāt believe how much life has changed since the last time.
how can i accept womanhood when i never got over girlhood
āAnd yet does it not all come again to the fact that it is a man's world? [...] He may still demands a woman to be faithful to him, to save him from his own lust. But women have lust, too. Why should they be relegated to the position of custodian of emotions, watcher of the infants, feeder of soul, body and pride of man? Being born a woman is my awful tragedy. From the moment I was conceived i was dimmed to sprout breasts and ovaries rather than penis and scrotum; to have my whole circle of action, thought and feeling rigidly circumscribed by my inescapable feminity. Yes, my consuming desire to mingle with road crews, sailors and soldiers, bar room regulars- to be a part of a scene, anonomous, listening, recording- all is spoiled by the fact that I am a girl, a female always in danger of assault and battery. My consuming interest in men and their lives is often misconstrued ad a desire to seduce them, or as an invitation to intimacy. Yet, God, I want to talk to everybody I can as deeply as I can. I want to be able to sleep in an open field, to travel west, to walk freely at night...ā
ā Sylvia Plath, The Unabridged journals of Sylvia Plath (July 1950-July 1953//n. 93)
āWith this song [Lover], it was just one of those weird moments, just middle of the night, Iām like in my pjs, stumbling to the piano as I got this idea and the song just happened really quickly. Thereās a line in the song that Iām really proud of, and the line says, āWith every guitar string scar in my hand, I take this magnetic force of a man to be my lover,ā and that line is really special to me because Iāve spent quite a bit of time writing break-up songs.ā ā Taylor Swift talking about āLoverā.
Sheās a ten but anytime sheās going through a hard time, she automatically reads and listens to music all day because she would rather escape this world and focus on other peoples sorrow and problems than her own.
I blog for the girls who cry on their birthdays and lose a little bit of themselves during the summer months
-William Wordsworth
August is for the girls who are insecure but don't show it, for the girls who are always the second choice, for the hopeless romantics, the girls who always believe the best in others, for the girls who often feel like they are a burden, the girls who love getting flowers, for the girls who remember little details about you and are the happiest when you remember small things about them, for the girls who get emotionally attached to objects, for the nostalgic girls, the girls that love with their whole hearts, for the girls who are happy with the bare minimum, for the girls who love period dramas, for 'the right where you left me' girls, for the girls that keep living for the hope of it all.
they're a green flag when they can sing all in one breath ābaby really hurt me, crying in the taxi he don't wanna know me, says he made the big mistake of dancing in my storm, says it was poisonā
when mobius said to loki āyou weren't born to be king, loki. you were born to cause pain and suffering and death. that's how it is, that's how it was, that's how it will beā and when agatha harkness said to wanda āthe scarlet witch is not born; she is forged. she has no coven or need for incantation. your power exceeds that of the sorcerer supreme. it is your destiny to destroy the worldā. that was another kind of pain.
you know it's august when SALT AIR AND THE RUST ON YOUR DOOR, I NEVER NEEDED ANYTHING MOREE
Bro.....
the air is salty and the door is rusty and i dont need anything more
āIām not everything I want to be but Iām more than I was, and Iām still learningā
ā Charlotte Erikkson
Se tutto il mondo ti odiasse e ti credesse cattiva, mentre la tua coscienza ti approvasse e ti assolvesse dalla colpa, tu non saresti senza amici.
Jane Eyre
Sometimes I see people do stuff and I'm like how??? And then I remember not everyone is in pain constantly
